Hi all, installed a pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX last night in my '14 limited. Went fairly well, except now my front (and maybe my back) parking assist stops working. I shut the car off and it starts working again. Then it stops. I haven't seen it start working again unless I shut the car off and back on. Any ideas?
I replaced the factory navigation system with the radio and idatalink maestro rr and idatalink f01 harness.

What was wrong with the factory unit?

Are you able to pull up any engine info on the screen? What you are describing is similar to compatibility issues between modules.

Yup, I get all the engine info. Speed, temp, rpms, load (?), intake temp, voltage and tire pressure. Sync 1 didn't give me individual tire pressure, so this is a nice addition.
I didn't get parking assist visual sensor info before. There's an option for it in the radio/maestro, but it's grayed out.

They just passed a handsfree law in my state. I couldn't voice text, access my phone book or do anything much with it. Plus navigation was outdated and you had to know the town villages right in order to get it to work. If I asked for 1200 main in wareham, it might say it doesn't exist because it saw it as 1200 main west wareham. There's too many villages around here for me to keep at all straight. It drove me nuts. Also it had a tendency to alert me to text messages I recieved years ago.

This morning my backup camera cut out. I shut the car off and tried again with acc on and it still didn't work. Tried again 10min later and it worked. Vehicle hadn't been moved. Weird. The camera plugs directly into the radio. I'm going to try updating the radio today and see if that fixes it.
