you can’t shut off the alerts. Stuck with those. Maybe the dash switch does that?

not so! you can't turn off the ALERTS (wheel vibration) AND/OR the ASSIST (steers you back in the lane)...the TWO functions are independent and can be turned on and off separately / individually as you like.

If you want to use it (or not) you can set that in the drivers dash/cluster menu....
if you want to temporarily disable it you can hit the button in the center of the dash (above the infotainment display).

Read the manual and READ and follow the instructions I posted!

That’s what the button on the dash does. Turns it on or off. Screen menu is for selecting alerts and assistance levels.

the button above the infotainment screen in the mid-dash allows temporary enablement or disabling - of what ever level / feature combination (alert, assist or alert + assist) you've enabled via the drivers position cluster/menu.

It’s not like the ASS, it’s off until you push the button again. My F-150 has been “temporarily disabled” for 3 years.

agree...BUT my point is if you like to use it but occasionally want it off (or on)...you can use the center dash button...if you NEVER want it on...then change the settings in the drivers cluster settings

The drivers cluster doesn’t give an option for it to be off. Only turned down. I’ll give the dash button a try. Thought that would be like the ASS one that is only good for that time.

this was like my third trip ever with it working. I tried once with it on because it worked finally. Tried again with it turned as low as possible. Now I’ll try the button. You don’t need a stupid book for some of this stuff. Just have to use your head.

Bushpilot, knows how to do it. I don’t remember a setting either. I will have to look when I get home.

I stand corrected - In the dash cluster (as dice says) one of 3 modes must be on (in the dash/cluster settings).

The feature can be turned off entirely via the button in the center dash / infotainment area and the setting sticks when the vehicle is stopped and restarted.

Heres the video of the drivers aide settings and you can see the aide / alert lines turn on/off with the center console button - it can be turned off permanently via the button in the center console above the infotainment system -
