are you aware there are multiple screen views and more than ONE potential SPLIT screen view....INCLUDING one between the smart phone and the infotainment display?

I was talking CarPlay. The split screen view in CarPlay.
Waze can be used in App Mode, but not in Split screen. Even on 3.4 20022. CarPlay has to be disabled for Waze to work In app mode.
This was supposed to post last night...but I didn’t hit the last button.
Baby steps...Sync 3 still has one of the best integrations in general for Apps, CP, and AA out there. It is also quick. Very few match it at this price point.

Haha, not having a bad day at all!! Post wasn't meant rudely, sorry if you took it that way. I don't have an IPhone, so was just using the information in Loki's post. I don't use Android auto because out here in rural Manitoba, doesn't have much use.

So I pulled the trigger and went down to 19200 then back up to 20021. The downgrade took about 5 mins, the reformat and install took almost 60 mins!
So far seems pretty good, I could swear the interaction seems a bit more crisp / snappy. No new features that I can tell as previously mentioned. I am still running an iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 12.4.6

The crisp/snappy is probably more due to the Format. Just like reinstalling windows on a Computer from scratch. It helps with performance.

If you upgrade to 13 you will have a bunch of new features in CarPlay. It’s much much better. Go up to 13.3.1 while they are still signing if you are a jailbreaker. Can’t see any reason for not upgrading. 13.4 has some new CarPlay features as well but I’m waiting to upgrade until the apps are compatible.
If he is actually on a 6 and not a 6S, he cannot go to 13. 6S and 6S Plus are the oldest Apple iPhones that support 13.X.

Yeah...I'm "only" on a 6 plus. The screen is still great (large size) but I find the performance is degrading (slower). Thanks Apple.
It’s a 6 year old phone! Of course the performance is degrading! The newer OS’s do more, and have more features. So do the apps. To expect a 6 year old piece of Tech to not be degrading in performance is the part that surprises me.
No judgement on you being on an older phone, but to expect it to keep up with the new software with out seeing a performance hit is unrealistic.

Ummm...hard to read tone in emails / posts it appears...but I wasn't complaining about my phone - simply saying I'm running iOS 12 whatever. Updating software on a Nav system is pretty cheap...
Once the iPhone got to the 6 the build and material quality is such that they actually last.

I updated my post, but still I believe you are correct. I find the screen quality on the 6 plus to be decent for my needs and the battery life is still sitting at 87%. People make choices everyday about things they want and/or need. But that being said if anyone feels bad for me and wants to send an iPhone 11 Pro my way...go right ahead lmao.
