Glad to help! @Cyanlabs deserves the credit for writing those instructions and compiling the files! He made it SO much easier vs the first 2 times I did it!!! Make sure you also do the 19274 update. Should be 3 installs total unless you slip streamed the 19274 update in to the 2nd step.

Done/Piece of cake...

Followed cyanlabs instructions. I got the error with 1st USB, but just yanked it out and put in the 2nd one without a reboot. No issues there.

I did all the steps cause I think the 19274 update doesn't have the NA118 maps in it, but, either way I'm up to ***** and ready to downgrade to facilitate a Sync 3.5/next one if and when it comes out.

Cheers to @LokiWolf and @AAOO and huge thanks to @Cyanlabs...

Just noticed an added bonus of doing this coming back from hockey practice; as an android auto user anyway - you get outside temperature indication within android auto. This was my only real gripe with the interface running that before. Didn't see that as an advertised feature of 19274, so figured I'd share. [emoji41]

Yeah, I saw "display temp based on location" in settings since I started using AA, but, it just didn't show up until I installed the 19274. [emoji106]

Yeah, New feature of AA, but 3.4 is needed to use it. Hoping CarPlay does something like this soon also!

Something I have never noticed until tonight on 3.4 is the big chain restaurants show their sign on the map. McDonalds shows the arches, chevrons show the three chevrons. Not sure if that’s the new map update or 3.4. I came from 3.0.

You can turn it off also. I use Waze about 99.9% of the time since I travel a lot.

Was looking for how to turn off, but, in old version running AA w3.0 & 19205, when running two applications, a pop-up over maps for what next song is or a pop-up over music for what next navigation instruction is would come up "and then go away". These pop-ups don't appear to be "going away" on their own now, but, I would like them to.

Anyone else notice this or have a setting I'm not finding?

After upgrading to 3.4 19274, I noticed the Navigation is off by about 500 feet. I'm on the correct path but the GPS arrow is about 500 feet ahead on the path. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

haha why ?

To think Ford is going to put effort in to making sure last vehicles can upgrade to the newest Sync 3. There track record just doesn’t lend to that being a thing that is going to happen.

Oddly, this stopped happening a couple days ago. I didn't do anything that I'm aware of and had the Android Auto auto update since the 14th. I did uninstall/reinstall FordPass because I lost the vehicle location in it and that usually sorts that issue out, but didn't think that would be related.

Anyway, fun fun and happy camper now that the other notifications are going away after a couple seconds in 19274.

Saw on a separate thread that native navigation also worked in gauge cluster? Just like Android Auto does with 3.4 and 19274. Probably because I find the native navigation annoying, so, don't use it enough.

what about official update ?? any news
As already noted, this is highly unlikely: not worth the headaches by Ford. The 3.0 system works fine - nothing to fix. And it's not just Ford: it's all car companies.
