So on my 2007 Limited the lift gate won’t open up using the key fob. If I sit the button on the dash, pull the handle, or push button just inside rear hatch it works fine. I just can’t get key fob to open lift gate. The key fob will lock, unlock, and even pop open the rear hatch glass. Just nothing with the lift gate itself.

Are you sure your battery is good?

I believe so because it is only 1 month old. I was looking up online for answers and my next move is checking the fuses. I mean if I have to replace the lift gate motor whatever but I will try everything else first.

So you have a button for the rear glass AND a button for the lift gate? Cuz my 2012 doesn't have that, just a lift gate button.

Did the problem occur suddenly, or has it been this way as long as you've owned the vehicle?

If you can open it from everywhere but the fob, the motor/fuse is not the problem.

Is there an antenna of some sort on the lift motor itself for the remote signal? I’d pull rear side panel and take a peek to see what’s up maybe it’s obstructed somehow. I would change the remote battery first just to rule that out regardless of age. I do have a question about the remote working the glass door... does it raise and close on its own and with the remote? Or does it just pop unlocked and you pull it from there? Just curious because my 17 XLT doesn’t have a remote option for the glass. I would think just popping unlocked could result in driving around with the glass unlatched. I guess the dash warning screen would warn you and chime.

Mine just pops unlocked from the FOB and you can drive like that but it warns you.
