I think you are give bad advice and are a condescending know it all. I own a Mustang GT. A vehicle that gets 'mods' more than most Fords. Plenty of owners blow them up and then want Ford to pick up the tab. Ford does not fix them, they consider it abuse. You sir, are dreaming. I didn't touch mine until the warranty expired. I was last at the dealer in 2019 for the Ford airbag recall, state inspection and a PCM update flash.
Nope, Proven many times when it comes to these modern turbo vehicles I actually know what I am talking about, you not so much. You come in here without owning or working on an EcoBoost powered vehicle and give opinions and belittle those that are doing things to them. I don’t own a 2000 Expy, and never did, so I don’t comment. Did own a 2003 150., haven’t owned it for over 14 years, so I don’t comment.
You as the owner make the choice whether to mod your vehicle. I chose to, including power mods. As does the OP. I am also forthcoming with my Dealer if they ask. I have paid for repairs caused by Mods, but I don’t for ones that aren’t.
My 2020 Explorer ST Tuned is faster than any stock Mustang GT. It seats 7, and can tow 5600.
I speak from experience doing the mods, owning the vehicles, and dealing with my dealer service department with at least 1 sometimes 2 warrantied vehicles for the past 21 years since I bought my 99 Ranger. All of them had some sort of mod. Lift, Tuning, Intake, Exhaust to name a few. Never had any issues that couldn’t be settled with my warranty.
