I have a 2014 Expedition Limited with a 5.4L engine. While I am driving the vehicle, at random, I feel the vehicle studder. It has been doing this for a while but the computer has not picked up any codes at all. When it does this, the RPM gauge will jump around. I'm not sure if it is something in the engine or something on the transmission or even the fuel pump. Does anyone else have this problem going on? Please help.

Check the fuel injector wires also. I had one burn up and throw intermittent misfires before the wire was completely fried. Easy to test with a noid light, which can be borrowed for free from Auto Zone or Advance.

Plugs are 3 years old, but if it was a spark plug misfiring, wouldn't it have picked up by now, even if it was multiple plugs? I took a good look at the fuel injector wires and it all checked out good. I am planning on replacing plugs. It currently has Motorcraft plugs but was thinking of changing to Champion Iridium plugs.

I would stick to Motorcraft and I would never buy the iridium ones. Plugs are like tires, they all start wearing out on day one.
