Lincoln trim compatible?

I'm going to pull-a-part for some parts I need and while I'm there I might as well get everything I want. I'm wondering if the interior trim from a navigator is compatible with the expedition? I have an Eddie Bauer already but I want all that navigator wood trim for the extra luxury feel. And the steering wheel too? It's hard to find seats in good condition or I would take those too. I have a 99 btw. Thanks

Yes it's all compatible! '98EB here I have switched a bunch of stuff from a Navi of a comparible yr.

I want to cover up the wood in our Nav. Never have been a fan, even when I was little but I grew up in the era of futuristic concept cars with metal and synthetics. Wont work the other way around for me though as the expeditions in 2003 didnt have black interior. I'm not sure they'd work anyway because window switches arent in the doors unless I rewired it all, which in all likelyhood I'd be too lazy to do that much.

I will say the steering wheel has a considerably better feel/grip than the expedition does.

I swiched over the door sills even though they say navigator they are way nicer and am looking for a decent steering wheel that somewhat matches my tan interior. I'm by no means done yet but this whole covid thing really kind of slowed me up from that type of stuff. Since early March

Now aren't you a weird one jk jk... No I understand that actually, but I'm partial to some wood grain for sure. You have an 03 nav with black interior? I want that so bad. My interior is tan. I love leather but I hate tan. But I'm feeling hesitant with a swap too cuz I don't want my X to feel inconsistent ya know? With the interior feeling out of place since the exterior is not black (it's the green and tan EB combo). I want to retain the premium feel it already has and just make it feel even more luxury is my goal. I don't want it to feel too modified. But I much prefer black leather to tan.

It's a black on black w the 2nd row console, has the power liftgate, HID, sunroof, everything but THX audio which I dont care about, though I would like to find a pair of door panels from one. They have the tweeter pods by the mirror and I wouldn't need to modify these when the whole audio system gets upgraded in about a month. My one gripe about the black is they didnt do anything above the doors in black. All of the pillar trim and headliner are light gray. From what I can tell black was never an option. I'm sure it was to make the cabin feel "airy" but I personally would like the dark, private feel that all black offers. If I can find a donor vehicle or two in the yards I may work on refinishing those pieces to swap. The headliner would likely not take to dye very well so said probably have my wife come up with some suede or similar to cover it. That's a long term thing though, we'll see what happens next year...my garage is garage to full at the moment to take on that project.

I picked it up a few months ago for my wife from a member on here. Working on getting the little things here and there that show some age replaced to make it perfect. Interior trim pieces w scuffs, chipped chrome handles, etc. Mostly superficial things, it's in great shape otherwise. I am fortunate that none of the seats have any heavy wear. I'm going to replace the lower foam in both front seats just to have better support, it's getting a bit soft. We plan to keep this awhile.

I have the green/tan 03 expedition, I typically hate tan/beige interiors but it works for this. I dont know if I would go to the trouble to do a swap to black. Unless you go 100%, the dash and all I feel like it would look oddly out of place. Swapping a dash and headliner is no small task.

Toyota likes to do something similar. Look at say a 2013+ Camry or 4Runner. You'll find a hybrid black/tan dash, black carpets, tan everything else. The mixatched look is strange imo. I mention the two specifically because a friend of mine has both vehicles and likes the look, I've never been sold on it.

Yeh I admit it's grown on me and I don't strictly hate it. I prefer all black though. And I hate that grey plastic you speak of. I don't know why they think that's a good look but it's so pervasive. I would sooner plastidip them or even flock than leave it like that. There's a black navigator at the yard with the black seats but even that one doesn't have a black headliner. Almost like they forgot lol. I'm tempted to snag those seats but you might be right, if I don't do everything it might just look too out of place and ruin the luxury/premium feel I'm going for. My tan leather eb seats aren't in terrible condition, I might just do a little resto or get a premium cover in a color that complements the existing scheme? Idk

ford makes interior paint which is very good tan matches perfectly. could paint the trim pieces. once it drys it’s perfect match. imagine the black would be the same. zero gloss btw
