I actually found "hair" in the pipe itself. I tried to fish more out but ended up pushing most of it back in.

Wow! When I’ve heard people say that they chewed someone up and spit them out the tailpipe in a drag race, I thought they were exaggerating. Ecoboost Power! Nice! Seriously though, could it be a critter nest? Looks like animal hair in the picture to me.

So the truck has a fibre glass packed resonator. Learned something new!

Do you think it could the cause of a strange burning smell that I smell every once in a while? I've had the truck at the dealer a couple of times for it but they can't figure out what's wrong. They can't duplicate the problem and to be fair, it doesn't happen all the time. Only when accelerating and not even then sometimes.

It's not animal hair. It would have burned up or turned nice a crispy if it was.
