Hey guys. Looking for recommendations. Just picked up a 2019 platinum and I am not a fan of the stock wheels and tires. I want to put some all terrains on it with a nice set of black wheels. Thinking about going with 20s. What size tires work the best and won't rub. Don't want to do any kind of a lift since it's mainly for my wife. Also anyone recommend a good matte black wheel set? Thanks in advanced.

Same boat I just ordered some Method Race wheels MR316 in matte black 18x9 with 275 70 18s about inch taller than stock and .4 inches less width. Waiting on the wheels they just came out telling me about 2 weeks for delivery.

I picked up a white one. View attachment 37958
Nice, if it were me, I’d go machined to get some of the chrome in the black wheels. I personally dont like the look of all black wheels on white SUV. Looks too much like an undercover cop. I went 20x9 +10 American outlaw Lonestars on my wife’s black 2016 limited for the all black look on 275/55/20s and no rubbing on trimming if that helps. Decent stance, nothing too crazy 7B3BED26-CBE8-4CD0-BA46-1B3D11F03E9A.jpeg

I totally don't mind the chrome black look. That does look good. Mainly looking for all terrains that will fit though

I wanted to black out my Platinum, but it expensive and a pain in the butt. I ended up just mixing the black and chrome. Picked painted glossy black wheels with some machine work to try and blend them together. I wish these wheels were a +18 not a + 20 but I get a ton of compliments on them.

I am planning on Black Rhinos Fury and going down to 20s. I take a lot of long road trips and looking to improve ride comfort from the factory 22s. Ordering this weekend :D

Still torn between 20s and 22s. Not sure how 22s would look with ATs though. Those all look really good though.

It all depends on what your objectives are. Ride comfort and stability are major priorities for the family and I. I have a friend who has the exact vehicle I have and he changed to 20s and I was impressed with the ride improvement. I really did not expect that noticeable a difference, but cannot deny it was there. I think 20's plus adding heavier sway bars will give me the ride quality I am seeking.

Tire manufacturers offer a limited selection of 22" tires. They offer a much wider selection of 20". When it comes time to replace my 22" Hankook Dynapro HP tires I plan on buying 20" wheels and Michelin Defender LTX MS tires. They are a much better tire with better winter traction and longer tread life. I have owned several sets. The 22" tires provide a noisy slapping sound and inferior ride.

Will the 20" F150 wheels and tires fit the Expo's? I have a set up platinum rims with studded winters I'd like to use if that's the case. Was unsure of brake fitment/hub/bolt pattern etc. I know the 20" option on one of the lower trims looks exactly like the F150 set. Surprised if it does fit as I couldn't find any information on it searching. Thanks.

BrakeCheck,
Are your current wheels 20"? Are they the design on the white Platinum above dated Sept 1st? I'm looking for a set of 20" wheels that are that design.

They are the polished 22s. I posted a picture on the first page I believe.

Pic’s or it didn’t happen. Video of a open topped full to the brim coffee cup in the holder going down the road. [emoji3]
