Well here we go, I’m committed. I ordered OEM 2006 Expedition Rocker Panels. There are some minor differences but hopefully my body shop can persuade them to work, if body shops have persuaded super crew ones to work these should be a piece of cake by comparison... I’ll update this thread after the job is done, which won’t be for a bit as I’m not having the new ones put in while we are still in salt season. My perception on the quality is good, they are decently thick and pretty heavy for what they are.

I'll be tackling this project soon will update then. I decided to attempt it myself when I get time since I have a nice welder. Panels are sitting for now.

Did you ever install these rockers on your 07? I plan on buying two for my passenger side because I have an EL. Hopefully the body shop can make them work.

Nope, that truck was totaled out in an accident and I bought an EL with good rockers. I was very close to doing them too.

It’s something you can do yourself if you find the rockers. My dad and I did them on a 97 Super Cab F150, 2000 Expedition and 2003 Supercrew F150 just using the cheapos from Rock Auto. For $100 you get the rockers, rustoleum primer and paint and it looked near as makes no difference to new. After doing them once you get pretty good at it. Go for it!

Thanks, what did you do with the rockers you bought, want to sell them? I already ordered from carparts.com but they can cancel because they aren't shipping for awhile.
