@utmeep looks good! It would appear you also wrapped the chrome trim at the base of the windows too!

Yes! I tried to get rid of most the chrome as much as I can. I'm leaving the grill as is, as it will be covered by a ranch hand grill guard. I'm debating on black, white, or leave it chrome for the rear expedition.

White would be so clean! I wanted to color match mine but not easy to match with a wrap.

ive had a hell of a time (still unsuccessful) in finding a vinyl wrap that matches the '20 triple white.
Ive got the rear blue oval wrapped in white - its not an exact match - in the sun it doesn't look too bad but in the garage indirect light its a clear mis-match.

Agreed I tried oracle and 3m white with no luck. Best bet is to have it painted at a shop to color match. Otherwise chrome or gloss black it is for me.

What would I expect to pay a retailer shop to do my pillars on a Max? Thanks

I planned on tinting front windows. Doing pillars could look nice.

View attachment 35994 Hey man, so I work in auto detailing and cosmetics, vinyl wrap is a great choice. We had some black vinyl laying around the shop and we wrapped mine just to see how it would look and it looks really slick I feel. I plan on polishing out my D-pillars and wrapping them in PPF as it’ll keep that gloss black looking much much better. Then it’ll just be all black from the A-pillars back. #murdered.

Just to clarify, our expeditions have 4 pillars, A (Windshield pillar) B (Door appliqués) C (Between rear doors and rear glass) and D (The Gloss black panel at the corner of the lift gate) Just to be sure that you did mean the C-pillar?

I can’t testify how well they hold up in car washes because I hand wash mine anyway. However that being said, if you have it installed by a vinyl wrap shop that’s worth their salt then it’ll hold up just fine, and if it does happen to come up, they should stand by their work and replace it if you just call them up and explain what happened.

hope this helps!
i had the A, C and D wrapped

I have been torn on doing this. I kinda like the C pillar breaking up the giant rear of my Max. I am not sure why you guys don't wrap the C pillars. Mine are so swirled they almost look white in the sun. Same with the D pillar.

If you like the "Navigator" look, wrap the C-Pillar. However to save some from wasting money, I just recently had mine vinyl wrapped and if you're anything like me and pay attention to detail, most vinyl wraps won't match the other pillars. I was told mine would match, but unfortunately it does not. I have seen vinyl online that give the clear/glossy/black mirror look to match the other pillars, but my original installer did not carry it. I believe they used a 3M and it has an orange peel look as far as texture. It's also somewhat of a matte gloss black similar to the post above. If I get around to it I'll post some pics of mine. I have recently found another wrap shop locally that suggested I go with a PPF wrap instead of Vinyl. It is more than double the price, but I'm told will be near identical match to the other pillars and also carries a 10 year warranty.
