I hope you can come tall... one more person to help pull out of ruts. I should have all the neccesary supplies - air compressor, recovery strap, d-rings, rear tow receiver hook, a few short 2x4's. It's funny how my 2wd will probably be sitting highest, we'll see which situations clearance helps and which 4x4 helps. Tall if you're coming we might want to make the meeting time more around 9ish so tall doesn't have to leave so early from LA.

talls, the traffic isnt that bad from the 78 down to the 8. itll take like 30 mins to get down there. at most. unless theres fog. then where the 15/163 switch is its bad.

I'm still good to go... I'm planning on getting to Fry's about 830 since I have to pick up my friend. Are you starting to feel better?

damn. nvy we could have used you today! haha yanking my ass out of a rutt for an hour with a 2wd expo isnt too funn! o well. gf dosent want to do that again for a loooooong time but she says desert is okay! haha so i guess thats where the next trip is going to be at. not any time soon though. gotta get a lift and bigger tires.

the goods: we all had funn! it was a blast! were all dirty!

the bads: Smooth is missing a mirror. i think talls has a picture. smooth picked up a rock and flung it at his mirror! he has no driver mirror. im missing some sidewall on my right rear and left front. and talls. a little side step damage.

yeah you can see how bad i was stuck. i need bigger tires. kept getting hung up on the diff or the cross member or both. i think we got lucky that last time when smooth yanked me out. the one where it shows him with no mirror was the beginning of getting me out. i winch or even a hi lift would have helped. to bad i was sick.

panda and smooth when r u 2 going to post pics?

That was a fun trip, besides my mirror I think the tires took the most beating this time. In the rain I was able to have my front sit still and flip donuts with the rear. I've been super busy, I took mostly vids which I'll most on youtube in a few days when I have some time to edit them. Tall do you have vids to post?
I got a new mirror assembly for $60
Not sure if I'll install myself, or give ford $99 bucks to do it.. depends on how much time I have.
When I got home that day the guy in the parking spot next to me was waxing his car and I asked if he minded doing mine next while he was at it. Instead I just got a free wash from the rain.

I drove without it until today, it was a pain to drive without it. I finally installed it myself, only took about 30 minutes and was super easy.. so yeah it only cost me $60 overall and I think the new mirror looks better than the old one (the light housing is flush instead of set-in and it looks better). I'm driving to Vegas for Halloween.. should be a fun road trip. I'll post my vids of us offroading once I get back from my trip.

Edit: The dealership wanted $279 for just labor and I think $180 for parts if I bought it there... so I'm glad I saved some money.
