It makes zero sense to me how they are supposed to start building customer orders on 2/14 and yet there have been zero vehicles in the hands of journalists to do reviews. They still do not even have a website to build and configure your car.

I have been through this several times with other car launches and this is first time I have seen this little information on a vehicle prior to launch

This is pure speculation on my part but I'm guessing they simply don't need to put it out there at this time. They most likely have enough pre orders already for the next several months (our local dealer had 50 orders last month on order, just one dealer). With limited numbers of chips they are going to be limited on the quantity they can produce. No point in getting more additional orders you can't fulfill anytime soon. So if you have enough work for the next few months, it buys you some extra time.

Holy cow! I just checked my dealer's retail report, and there are 35 MY2022 Expeditions on order for customers! Fifteen of these are scheduled to-day, nine are to-week, and the rest are ordered but unscheduled. These aren't allocation orders; each one clearly has someone's name attached. It looks like K2A is the popular one (that's the Max/Limited).

Yeah those 50 orders I mentioned above were all retail orders with names on them. So if you assume something similar across the country, that is a lot of pre orders!
