Question for everyone. The steering on my 2022 Expy feels too light. I can feel every bump in the road through the steering wheel And even a little wheel shake above 75 mph. Aftermarket DUB Royalty 22” wheels installed. Is there a steering stabilizer out there that I can install to tighten the steering up? Thanks everyone!

Are others feeling the road through the steering wheel? The steering just seems too light.

I have a similar issue.
But side wall is thin (22”), suspension is for HD tow, and the vehicle weighs 5700lbs. Only so much I think it can “forgive” road imperfections.
I do think there will be a recall/TSB/CSP on these tires though, sound like you might not have the same ones, but stock The over 75 thing is probably a tire or alignment issue. Mine had both.

I am using the OEM tires with aftermarket wheels. My Expy sat about four months. I don’t believe that is long enough to create flat spots.

Mine sat from March till July, I had to replace all 4 tires, they failed the road force test they were so out of round.

Does Road Force balancing test for tires that are out of round? Did the dealer fight you on the replacements?

Yes the road force is designed for exactly that, along with helping match high and low spots on a wheel with the tire’s imperfections to smooth the ride.
A standard balance can “balance” a square, but won’t ride smooth.
Dealer had to first “verify” the vibration, once they did they proposed the road force balance and when the tires failed they warranted them.
However your experience might vary, as you swapped the wheels and they should be road forced when they were swapped.
If anything, I’d proposed to pay for the test. But if they fail or can’t be matched into spec, then they should warrantee them.

CCD or not?
I feel some bumps but the steering to me feels quite direct for its size and heft and the tight is on the taut side which made communicate bumps through to the driving wheel and car altogether. With CCD though, I must say it feels very planted. comfort is good, no complaints from passengers on road trip occasionally over poorly tarred segments

I'm sure Ford will blame your wheels, so you will likely have to bite the bullet and put the stock wheels on those tires and then fight them.

I have aftermarket wheels and tires. I don't remember if it occurred with the stock wheels and tires.

However, my 2019 did it and my 2022 does it, too. Wheel setup have been rebalanced twice. Not sure about the every bump while driving, but I do have a slight shake at around 75. Not enough to bother me but enough to notice.
