So has anyone accidentally thrown their car into a different gear when trying to change the volume? What an engineering fail on that location lol.

There is a setting in one of the menus that lets you adjust your speed limit variance. So if the SL is, say, 65, and you set a 4mph variance, it will set the speed to 69 when you cross into the 65mph zone. It will hold that variance for all speed limit changes. So, yes, it will change each time you go into a new zone, but it will alway be slightly above.Drove home today and used Blue Cruise (BC) extensively on the Interstate; about a 100 mile ride. First experience with BC. Noticed that the ‘set’ speed reverted back to the posted speed limit on several occasions - might have correlated to where the posted speed changed.
Are there voice commands for the seat heating/cooling? Every time I reach for the HVAC temperature adjustment on my 2024 with the 15.5" display, I remind myself "There's a voice command for that." I'll break my old habits eventually.I thought I would miss the physical buttons, but I keep everything (climate, lights, etc) in "auto" anyway, so I don't really need the buttons. Other than the heated/cooled seats, I maybe use the climate buttons in mine once a month? Less for the lights. The fact that the climate seats and steering wheel also have an "auto" setting solves that problem.

I was one of the early 4th gen buyers (took delivery in February of 2018) and have loved my Expi Plati Max 4x4 since (with a few hiccups along the way). Im at 100k miles and am back in the market.
I didn't love the 5th gen so I was looking elsewhere. I actually have a Lexus LX700h Overtrail on order, but...
We are on vacation in Maine this weekend and my rental is a 2025 Active. I am surprised as anyone, but I love it. As soon as we get home I plan to cancel my order at Lexus and find a Tremor. I like my plati, but I am tired of worrying about 22" rims around town; curbs and potholes are a thing.
The interior, while so much different than "normal" actually is very intuitive (as many have said).
The sliding center console is a neat party trick which we have been making good use of all week.
The engine, while not the HO, is markedly quicker than my 2018, although I acknowledge that may be because mine is 8 years old.
I ended up loving the splitgate, the fact it can open (and close) both at the same time is nice.
The BlueCruise is really fantastic. Immediate lane changes (unless it needs to wait for space, which it does nicely), good communication as to when it is available, nice lane manners, etc. I really have nothing bad to say.
The "squircle" steering wheel does take a little getting used to, and my normal driving position of my hand at 12 does interfere, but that's just a quick adjustment.

The number of things that are standard on my rental Active trim is really surprising; can't wait to get into a Tremor and see what other goodies I get.
Visibility is great, and I love the blind spot cameras that pop up on the dash when changing lanes.
I am sure there are some things I like that I have forgotten to mention. Other than the two colors on the splitgate (which I do not like, but is less noticable in the wild green color I'll get), I am trying to think of anything negative to say....and I can't. Ford almost lost a sale to Lexus, but this base model won me back; great job, Ford.
I bought a 2025 Platinum Max two months ago and we love it. This is our 3rd Expedition, had a 2005 and a 2015. The hands free driving is really growing on me. One thing that I dislike intensely, however, is the controls for the cruise and bluecruise. With that touchpad on the wheel, you are forced to take your eyes off the road to set the speed and to resume once you touch the brakes. This is incredibly dangerous. They need to either go back to regular buttons or else implement voice controls for the cruise. Anyone else annoyed by this?
Doesn't it become a multi-step process in this vehicle, though? I drive three different vehicles - my 16 F150 (which has radio controls on the right), my Honda Accord (radio controls left), wife's 22 Expedition (radio controls split!). I have to look down A LOT at steering wheel buttons because I can't keep them straight. I imagine that instead of my single quick glance down, for this vehicle I would have to touch, glance, touch again (if I got it wrong), glance, and then finally complete the action.No, that hasn’t been an issue for us. You either have to memorize the cc buttons or look down on any vehicle. This one isn’t any different. The left pad doesn’t function any other way while cc is active.

A person can get used to anything, but going in and out of this one seems like will be extra annoying. So far we've decided against trading in our '22 since just too many things on this one causing us to hold our nose.
This. Just brushing over the pad will activate its functions. its really very easy. I honestly find it better as you never have to drop your eyes to the steering wheel. Just brush the pad and look just to the right of the speedo to see what you want to do.

In 2018 you could add leather as a stand-alone option on the XLT, which I did. I'm not going to spend $75K+ on a car and have to add 3d party leather. The Active X seating material should be a no-cost or low-cost option on the Active vehicle.Out of curiosity, What about the 25s are disappointing? If the seats were an issue, couldn't you just swap out the cloth with the leather from a 3rd party shop like you did with your 18? That way, you'd have 18s and no moon roof. Also, I would think the 3 part 3rd row and split tailgate would be incredibly useful for fishermen.

My current Expy has the 3-part 3d row, and 2nd row, too, for that matter, and the 3d row is powered. The split tailgate doesn't make any difference to me at all.
Getting something other than cloth shouldn't cost $4350 and force a moonroof. I don't like the idea of cutting a big hole in a perfectly good roof. Oversight by Ford, IMO.
Yes, you are correct. I leave it down almost all the time. Don't really think it's an important difference, 3-part vs 2-part.The 2018s only have 2 part 3row seats, the 2025s have 3 part 3rd row seats.
I mean if your truck is treating you well, thats good news. 75k is a lotta scratch for any new car.
