Hi Gang,

I have a virgin 99 Expedition AWD with a 4.6 Triton engine in her. I would like to to pep her up a little I'm looking for recommendations.

38cc Trick Flow Twisted Wedge Cylinder Heads, .6/.6 crane cams, some new valve spring, titanium rods, manley flat top pistons... Oh you said a Little pep... You can't go wrong with a flash for the ecu, predator or superchips are all I've ever dealt with and I'd recommend them.

It all depends on your budget, but maybe the gotts mod, a tuner. but if you want real horsepower throw a supercharger on it, 4.6's can take boost

K&N Filter, GOTTS Mod and exhaust would be the first 3 easy and least expensive...and you will feel like your driving a different vehicle just by the sound of it.

The programmer and gotts mod is the best bang for your buck, the tuner can add 10-30hp and the gotts mod increases throttle response......maybe tuner, gotts mod and then a larger throttle body so you can get the power to the ground quicker. I would say the programmer is the best bet for a noticeable increase.

The 4.6 you have is the PI if im thinking correctly so if you did a programmer, gotts mod, larger throttle body and an exhaust you should be able to stomp non PI 5.4's and 4.6's

TFS is trick flow right? lol those are probably much better then the PI heads lol!

Yes Trick Flow heads.:)

I agree with what everyone else said above. But I don't believe ring and pinion gears were mentioned. A higher ratio can significantly improve performance. Unfortunately with 4wd it can be a bit more expensive as you have to do both the front and rear differential. If I had a 2wd expy it would be one of my first mods.

I was thinking about saying somthing but for the AWD you have to go all in and thats close enough to costing as much as a supercharger:eek:

OK not as much but its more then a programmer and such lol
