is there any way I can either disconnect some wires or get into the trucks main computer and tell the truck that when it starts to slip in the rear to not engage the front tires? since it is an electronic transmission surely there is a way to tell it one way or another. i mean if a computer had the right software and you were able to connect to the trucks computer couldn't you tell it one way or another?

There is a fuse you can pull that will do what you want. It keeps the clutches in the transfer case from engaging. I'm not sure which one it is on a 2002. I think it is #104 in a 99. Is there anyone else out there can help?

one question is why would you want to do that i mean yeah it would be cool to be able to do burnouts but i had a 97 f-150 with the 4.6 in it and it would smoke the ties in a hit of the gas thats why i like my expedition with the all 4wd and my expedition has the 5.4 and it si faster with the all 4wd then my 97 ever was because you dont lose time spinning tires
