Hi, I'm glad I found 'yall. I just bought a 97 expedition, 4x4 5.4L. WHERE IS THE DAMN OIL FILTER??? I am trying to do an oil change and can't find it.
I am in a bind and appreciate any help I could get.

did you find it yet and it is on the drivers side rigth by the k member you cant miss it and it it is a ford oil filter it is white and if it is fram it is orange

Not to sound completely stupid, but I am mostly accustomed to GM vehicles, but where is the K-member? I take it that it must be remotely mounted from the engine, as I have been over nearly every inch of it and can't see it there. Is it mounted to the frame somewhere? How far back? This makes me want to go fix airplanes again! Good thing I have to work tonight, I have to redeem myself for not knowing anything about my own vehicle!

I FOUND IT!!! YAY! Who'd of thunk it? It lives behind the bumper. Man, once I found it, I was done in about a minute. Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be back for more..

k memeber or crossmeber that holds the engine
