Master cylinder/ABS hose question
After some more research I found it... This is posted in second Gen but Mine is specifically a 2005. Thanks yupster for the search term. "Hydraulic LINE"... Master cylinder/ABS hose question
What are these parts called and are these OEM only? I am sure someone knows the proper name. :) I tried the google and various searched only turn up the master itself or the flexible hoses to the calipers. These are the hoses that connect the master cyl to the ABS unit. There are two. They are...- Big Jeff

05 Steel brake lines pre bent.
Amazing... After those unions, its like those lines are brand spanking new. I did all 4 lines. I left most of the old brake line in. I cut off the ends, wire wheeled them up to look like new and used them on the new line. I went with Steel replacement line... Expy was in Western NY for a few...- Big Jeff

05 Steel brake lines pre bent.
Well I know know exactly why there are no prebent brake lines for this thing... Snaking coiled brake line through was a PITA on the passenger side front, it was ugly but no kinks. I have the OTC Stinger bubble flare tool incoming. Going to have to practice end making before I do actual line...- Big Jeff

05 Steel brake lines pre bent.
Time to ask the forum after unsuccessfully searching... I have an 05 that has seen some northern winters... So one of the steel brake lines corroded enough to fail. Passenger front to be exact. Thats the one that goes over the front crossmember from the ABS block. So upon further inspection...- Big Jeff

Weird noises coming from Drivers rear tire. Can you identify?
Another update. It was the rear wheel bearing was making that noise. Never in my life have I ever heard a wheel bearing pop like that. I've heard them groan, and get louder plenty of times before. When I free'd it, the rear bearing dust shield just fell out exposing the rusted bearing. So no...- Big Jeff

Drivers side Air Ride Hight Senesor
My sensor arm snapped right off. Anyone have a good source for a replacement? OEM seems way way over priced at around 3 bills.- Big Jeff

Weird noises coming from Drivers rear tire. Can you identify?
A little update, I took the rear wheel apart to redo the ebrake springs etc. Screwed the star bolt so that the ebrake wasn't touching the drum. Took it for a ride... Same sound. Now upon inspection you can take the hub assembly and press at 12 o'clock and it moves I bet at least an 1/8" or...- Big Jeff

2005 Expo with about 114k on it. Brake hardware was replaced but doesn't mean I can't start looking there. The tensioner is really weird to put on... Thanks.- Big Jeff

Weird noises coming from Drivers rear tire. Can you identify?
This has me boggled... So I am hoping the good folks at expedition forum can help diagnose. The happens completely randomly while driving. Sounds like the driver rear wheel. Took the caliper and rotor off and inspected the ebrake pads. Everything looked normal. I just replaced the brakes pads...- Big Jeff

Front Diff bearing issues..
Update: Trying to get this done in between work and rain. Previously replaced sway bar link is still ok. Tie rod end is still ok. CV axle inner was definitely bad. Cored out and replaced. Upper and lower ball joints worn. I bought the moog upper control arm and ball joint and the moog lower...- Big Jeff

Yeah actually thats the first thing I am going to do tomorrow. Even though I replaced both sway bar links a few months back.... They are still suspect along with anything on the sway bar. Mounts and bushings. -Jeff- Big Jeff

Makes sense. I guess I am at the point of replacing things until the noise goes away. I'll probably start by rechecking the newly replaced sway bar links. then go on to sway bar bushings. Upper control arm and lower ball joint and see where I sit after that. I just hate throwing parts at...- Big Jeff
