What to look for when buying a gen 1 expy
Several Things to watch out for: 1. limp mode. 2. chain slap the plastic guides are probably in the oil pan 3. Air bag system is prone to failure (expensive fix) Struts and Shocks take away from that ride. 4. TCM finding a useable one is a search for a needle in a haystack, the aftermarket ones...- Bob Dobalena

1st Gen 1997 -2002 7.3 Godzilla engine swap
Has anyone under taken the project of swapping in a 7.3 into a 1st Gen Expedition? Thinking about doing this swap to my 1999 XLT. I would want to add twin turbos. Upgrading the brakes, suspension, transmission, and (posi) 9 inch rear end with 3.73 are a must.- Bob Dobalena

Best place to buy tires?
I am running a set of Mickey Thompsons on my 1999 Ford Expedition. Been the best set of tires I have ever owned (Of course now that I am older, I keep them rotated). Discount Tires has them for $800.00.- Bob Dobalena

Engine swap from a 4.6 to 5.4l
Ford parts do not automatically interchange with other Ford parts; so, you will also need to switch all the control modules and their respective harnesses.- Bob Dobalena
