Bad news for us, good news for someone
Here it is folks...the time has come for Cass and I to part with our Expedition. With both of us driving 60 miles round trip to and from work, the Expi just isn't practical for us. That is bad for us but great for one of you.
After punching everything...
Gas mileage isn't bad if you can keep your foot out of it. Around town we get about 10 - 11 mpg and about 13 - 14 mpg on the interstate.
One thing I remembered from your previous question...the Lightning actually has 2 IAT sensors; 1 in the air tube up by the air filter and another in...
I used the stock Expy wiring. I had to lengthen a few of the connections though: TPS, IAC, and IAT.
The Lightning has 2 additional connections that the Expy doesn't: the boost by-pass solenoid and a barometric pressure sensor. Both are located on the black bracket located on the driver...
The supercharger has only been on there for a year. And I definitely don't abuse my vehicles. The KBB shows $12,000 and the loan value for the truck at any bank is $14,000. Asking $15,500 is not unreasonable.
This truck is SOLID and VERY WELL maintained as evidenced by the pictures. It has a SUPERCHARGED 5.4L V8. The supercharger is a Ford factory unit from a 2003 F150 Lightning and produces 347 hp and 458 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels. We did this install shortly after the Expi.
It has...
Was really wanting to do the 05 cluster swap as well. From looking at pics of the backside of both, it appears that the shape of the plugs are different. can anyone confirm that?
We did true dual exhaust on ours. You can see the pics here:

Our muffler guy did say that one 3" pipe would do the same as two 2.25" pipes.
We hid our subs where the factory sub used to be. We added a 12v computer fan (4") to suck air through the factory sub grill. Our sub is located in the rear most section on the driver side. See pics on our post below:

You are absolutely correct Tom. These things are deceivingly fast! If I don't watch it, I'll hit almost 100 mph getting on the interstate. These things are so big and so smooth, you just don't feel it. In fact, my wife (Cass) got pulled over the other night in it. She was doing 62 in a 40...
Its funny you should mention "idle" Tom. I haven't had a single issue with the idle on the Expy since doing this mod.
With that said, I added the oil separator back on the F150 (did EXACTLY the same as the Expy) and now I do have a slightly elevated idle...maybe 300-400 RPM. The IAC on...
