Rwd Expedition headed to twin lakes Colorado.

Colorado does have chain laws that can be invoked during the winter months. Typically these are for commercial vehicles, but can be applied to passenger vehicles. Buying and bringing the chains is a good idea. https://codot.gov/travel/colorado-chain-law The weather can change very quickly in...

Where the heck do I get replacement seatbelts?

I used these guys when I had to repair the rear seat belts in our conversion van. https://www.seatbeltplanet.com You remove your existing seat belts and send them in to them. Turn around time was not too bad, but we don't use the van often, so it was not urgent. We had the hardware replaced...

    Another Expedition Wrecked

I had a similar accident with my 2010 Limited, except the impact was not nearly as direct as yours (more of a glancing blow as the other driver swerved to avoid me). As the body shop got into it, they removed the far back seats and found damage under them (floor wrinkled). No frame damage, but...

Anyone ever use powerstop slotted rotors/pads

I installed Powerstop ceramic brakes and slotted rotors (K3167) on the front of my 2010 Limited a few years ago (mid-2014). They are great when coming down from the mountains on some of the steep declines. I do not notice any more brake dust than with the OEM rotors. I have about 58000 miles...

    2010 Sunroof not sealing

sls1980: I ended up having the Ford dealer look at it. Their solution was to replace the entire unit. They said that the motor was bad, but I think that the easiest solution for them is to replace the entire unit instead of just parts of it. The total cost was about $2200, but the sunroof...

    2010 Sunroof not sealing

2010 Limited. Factory sunroof just stopped sealing one day. Sunroof glass moved forward to close, raised up the rear of the glass to seal and then the rear portion of the glass on the passenger side sagged down. Tilt function no longer works either. Can hear the wind whistling through the...

2012 - Safe to change plugs myself without breaking any plugs

I had my local independent shop do mine as I didn't want to risk breaking one off. They installed the NGK 372 plugs that Cellman recommended. They are working great so far (only replaced them a few weeks ago). This is a good shop that I have used for many years and they only use very good...

2010 Expedition rear window wiper blade replacement

Had to buy the blade & trim as one assembly. I had to buy the blade and trim piece as an assembly from Ford. I could find no after-market blades with this same trim piece. Ford PN is 9L1Z-17528-B, They are one piece, the trim piece has the blade holder hooks molded right into it.
