    Can I safely tow this TT?

    You would be ok if you had the max tow pkg. I tow an 8500# (loaded and ready to go) with a 2019 XLT with the max tow pkg, plus Equalizer WDH and we do just fine, even on hills.

    I wouldn't do it. I tow an 8700# (fully loaded) with an Equalizer hitch with no problems, but yours is far beyond that.

    I upgraded from a 2003 Expy to a 2019 Expy. What a difference! I hardly knew I was towing a 8500# trailer!

    Great towing with 2019

    First time towing with a 2019 Expy, 8500 lb trailer. My 2003 would struggle a little on hills, but the 2019 blew it away! Auto brite lites turinng on and off and auto down shifting on hills was a godsend. Hardly knew the trailer was even there!

    Extreme Service Delays

    COVID has thrown a monkey wrench into everything. So many companies had to downsize and shut factories due to lack of workers, etc. Lumber costs are insane. Car companies can't get parts.I'm not surprised that Ford dealerships are having service backlogs, but 6 months to a year is insane.

    Aux fuel tank

    Its my understanding that add on gas tanks can only be done in the bed of trucks. diesel is a different matter. I would love an additional gas tank!

    I'm getting about 15 - 16 around town and up to 24 on the highway. Not towed with my 2019 yet.

    Dealer wants to buy my Expedition back from me

    We had a 2004 Expy. In 2008, the dealership called and said they would buy it back and sell me a new one for the exact same payment I was paying. I said Great! I paid it off, so you will give me a new one for no payment? Er - no. I never got another call. LOL!

    Regular WB vs. EL/MAX for towing

    Make sure you get the 3.73 axle ratio. I tow a 33' trailer and did so with a 2004 Expy. With 210,000 miles on it, I decided to get a new one. The EL/Max models are rated at about 200 - 300 lbs less for towing. My trailer weighs 8500 loaded, so decided against the EL. I use an Equalizer WD hitch...

    How many miles on your 2nd Gen Ford Expedition?

    I just turned 210000 on my 2004 that I bought in 2003. Had to rebuild the tranny at 75k and replaced the rear A/C blower twice, but other than routine maintenance, it's been a dream.

    Fuel tank

    After market tanks for gas engines are almost nonexistent. It turns out the emission controls practically forbid it. Diesel engines are regulated differently and there are lots of those options out there.

    I have a similar problem. I put audiobooks on a USB. Sometimes the speakers play it in order, sometimes not. Can be very frustrating.

    CCM damage

    I only had the precollision message, but the cruise control wouldn't work, either - it apparently needs the precollision sensor. The dealership told me they think mine was damaged when it came off the transport truck and they swapped it out for free. None of the service techs had ever seen...

    Tow package fuel economy

    2019 XLT with tow pkg (haven't towed with it yet). 18 mpg city/mixed, 24 mpg on long trip.
