What you will find is the u joints in the lower steering shaft that goes to the rack seize up and cause this problem.- Swetrid

Help! P0172, p0301, p0302, p0303, p0430, p2196
It will be injectors, I would replace all the injectors on bank 1. They are only $35 a piece from Rockauto.- Swetrid

trying to decide on a 2000 EB. price/issues
Seems like a lot for a 2wd to me. I do agree with what state/area you are in. You can get 4wd around here for $2500-$4000 all day long. I got mine for free because previous didn't want to put the money into it and it only has 100k on my 2000 XLT sport.- Swetrid

Recalls don't expire, tsb is just a bulletin to help technicians fix common problems that occur. Helps us from wasting a lot of time trying to diagnose something that Ford already knows how to fix. TSB's will only be fixed if you have a warranty.- Swetrid

Couple code's..
Second that one, if you cant pcv hose leak it will be lower intake gaskets. Intake gaskets usually only show up when its cold out.- Swetrid

Replacing plugs 2003 5.4l
You wont have a problem with plugs breaking in 2003. I personally wouldn't use Bosch in a Ford. I would only use motorcaft or autolite plugs.- Swetrid

Ford has tsb for this concern. P0304 code remedy?
I would check and make sure spark plug is still tight. We have seen a few come back with misfire in which the plug is loose.- Swetrid

P0300 intermittent miss code - solved
I have had customers supply the one piece Champion plugs and most have had problems. I end up putting the Motorcraft plugs to fix properly. The only downside to the new Ford plugs is that they are only going about 40-50K before needing to be replaced again.- Swetrid
