2000 Expy Faint Theft Light

Hey there guys, I have a theft light that I can barely see when I lock my expedition with the remote. Also my alarm doesn't sound when I shake the truck or try opening the door. I dont know if the light is wore out or if it's not getting enough power or what? If someone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

The theft light is very dim and not very noticeable on the instrument cluster. This is not a car alarm, it’s the transponder key system. Anti theft.

Thank you very much for the info George. Yeah i had no idea that i didn't have a alarm. But i guess the faint blinking light is basically worthless lol. And it doesn't even work for a good deterrent because its so faint and weak smh. I guess the little beeping noise my key fob makes when i lock it doesn't mean anything either. Hopefully this info helps someone on the forum like me. I'm going to install a aftermarket alarm since that is the case. thanks again for the confirmation George.
