I'd be curious to know if there is an aftermarket Airbag solution that would also give a little lift to the back. I did the Ranchero 1.5" quick lift in the front but would like to bring the back up just a bit. I'd like to keep the air bags since I tow a bit but would like a little lift too!

Adam - just a thought. With most air suspensions there is a lever that tells the suspension it is at ride height. You may be able to adjust that lever to get it to raise a little.

just bumping this post in case anyone has been thinking about replacing their air ride. just do it! no issues with mine still, I did have a little air leak at the air line coupler from the pump because I replaced the pump shortly after the new air struts, it just wasn't getting as much air as it should. but all has been good and i love the auto-leveling.

Did you use Suncore. If so, how are they holding up?.

I replaced the rear air struts on my 08 EL a few months ago with Arnott air springs that I purchased from RockAuto (I dont see them for sale there very often, I think I got lucky and just happened to look on a day when they had some in stock). They seem to be very high quality and I am overly impressed with them so far as ride quality goes. My right rear bag had a small tear in it and would deflate 20-30 minutes after parking the Expy.

I put the new 2" spacer lift on the Arnott coil overs. I didn't want to mess with transferring the spacer and and rusted extension posts. The worst part is I'm still fighting a nasty bug. I have a 3.5 hr drive to the White Mountains Saturday for school vacation week.

I could cross my fingers that the compressor survives the round trip, or find a shop that will install "owner supplied" parts and not charge 4 hrs. Labor as a penalty. Ugh.
