Just wanted to praise AutoStop Eliminator. 5 minute install!

I am not affiliated with AutoStop eliminator, but I like to give shout outs when I encounter a good product!

I've got a 2023 Expy Limited Stealth Performance. The auto-stop "feature" was driving me crazy. If I forgot to turn it off it would startle me when the engine decided to shut itself off. Since it is a 2023 I was able to use the newest model AutoStop Eliminator that install quite simply in the panel behind the rear HVAC controls.

Installation was a snap. As easy as in their video. Pulled up the cup holders, unplugged a wire, plugged in the eliminator, plugged the wire in to the eliminator. It works perfectly.

I didn't realize it, but it leaves the auto stop where you set it. So, if you were in a lot of stop and go traffic and low on gas you could turn it on I guess.

Anyway, just a happy customer. Link below for the curious. See the installation video for details.

I just installed mine too in my '24 Expedition. I'm also not affiliated, but same comments: Super easy install (provided you have the 2nd row HVAC controls) and no more frustration with engine switch offs in heavy traffic.

Great link. Thank you. I'm shopping for a '23 or '24 Limited, possibly another MAX, and I hate the thought of that auto stop. I'm transitioning from a 2014 EL Limited and even more electronics to get used to soon...

Did the same with the 4DTech module in our 22, well worth the money.

The Auto stop a pretty stupid idea. The auto stop delete was a great add. I just purchased one for my sister's 2026 excape. Having a hard time removing the trim piece between the steering wheel and the instrument cluster. Required for this model. My neighbor, an auyo body guy could not get it out either, Afraid we going to break it before the clips give in.

Oh. I put one in my 19 expy as soon as they came out. They create a safety issue when a passenger is getting in / out. Foot still on the break, but not as hard. The car will start and lunge forward while passenger is halfway in / out

I read so many good things about the auto-stop eliminator that we installed one on our 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe also. It took 15 minutes because of the trim removal/reinstall, but it was worth every minute, and every penny. We love it!

I installed one when my 2018 was less than a week old . I never regretted it for one second. I can't imagine. The additional wear and tear on the car without it.

I installed the 4D Tech start / stop eliminator on my ‘19 Navigator and ‘23 Aviator and love it. It’s like the Ronco…set it and forget it!

Does anybody just hit the button to turn it off or am I the only one?

I am in the habit of hitting the button. But I may have to add the delete. Can this be turned off in Forscan software?

You're the only one.

Seriously, it's a set it and forget it peace of mind. I absolutely detest the feature in any car I drive and not having to remember to hit it when I get in or knowing my wife isn't driving with the feature on makes it worth it to me.

Not without it affecting the battery management system (BMS). Some have success, some have issues with a charging system error message.

The Auto Start-Stop Eliminator deactivates the feature without any negatives.

Ok, that’s fair. I have to put it in sport mode anyway so it’s just 1 more click to turn off Auto Stop Start.

After seeing this post, I bought the Autostop eliminator. Installed in a couple minutes and now I can enjoy A/C at stoplights without having to worry about the car turning off and making it muggy...

I found one brand compatible with my 2026 back in Feb called, "Expedition (25-26') Start / Stop Eliminator" for $100. It was super simple to plug in and never had to think about it again. I appreciate everyone sharing experiences here without being tainted by advertising.
