I have not had any problems with mine yet, but there is a filter under the seat. Surely the dealer checked an or replaced this if needed. If the filter is dirty or clogged, it certainly could effect heating.
My 2011 will certainly heat for longer than 15 minutes.
Nothing to it, The flat tab shown slides inside the rail. You will see round pegs under the cap which snap into the corresponding female openings in the base. They pretty much install straight up and down. Once you get a good look at it, it will all make sense.
My Backup camera goes to the mirror on my 2011 as well as I do not have navigation. Seemed small at first but you would be surprised how fast you get used to it. I can back my Expedition up to my boat trailer and center it perfectly on the hitch every time. Give it a chance before spending a...
I am very happy that you were able to complete the modification on your Expedition. I do not know whether there is a difference between my 2011 wiring and your 2013 wiring or not. When I wired my relay exactly like you did in your hand written diagram, every time you would activate the fold...
On All these 3rd generation Expeditions they just have the plug and no filler tube as most of us know. I have an after market dip stick and filler tube but have not installed it because when you take out the plug without the engine running fluid drains out, So I thought I would wait till I do a...
2011 XLT 5.4 with 20k miles. Only the one code. Cannot find any vacuum leaks. I am thinking it must be the oxygen sensor. Drive ability has not really changed other than a sometimes a very slight rough idle.
Any trouble spots I should look for in the vacuum system. With the low miles all...
Yes, that is pretty much what mine have looked like more than once. It's one thing to have Ford replace under warranty on their dime. But when I have to pay for it, some quality struts are going on.
My truck is almost a garage queen. Truck was actually built in August of 2010 so very low mileage for a truck of its age. Closest thing to being off a paved highway is putting in the boat at the launch at the lake. One long trip to Wisconsin each year and that is about it.
I am confident...
All 4 struts replaced under warranty at 5000 miles. Now at 20000 miles 3 of the 4 are leaking with one being an oily mess. Don't know what FORD is using for these struts but my experience says they are not much good. As the strut leaks the ride is going away as well.
Truck is a 2011...
Some here have been successful and others like my self have not. I tried to wire up for Power folding mirrors on my 2011 XLT and could not get them to work. However, I must say that unlike others who have had success I would not cut up my existing wiring harness. These trucks are very...
I did this upgrade to my 2010 as well. Can't hurt to have a bigger opening for more air. But if you really want a seat of the pants difference you can feel, put a K&N intake on it. Much better than the convoluted stock piece. Not a huge difference, but you can feel it.
Anyone purchase the Kool Vue mirrors. They look pretty good but are packed terrible. One was damaged and was replaced. The way they are packed it is a wonder any of them get anywhere in one piece. Made in Taiwan.
So I did the research and found that you should be able to purchase a ford...
Anyone else disappointed in their Pirelli tires. I only have 17k on mine and they are 3/4 gone. I don't think I will be putting those back on it again.
In Follow up to my last post - The referenced link does provide a basic way to add the folding feature, but it is not one I will pursue. I prefer to go the factory route. That link states that the process will not work by buying and installing the factory switch. That is correct. But it can be...
Yes, I am continuning to search but have not found specific information about making this change on a late model Expedition. I have searched extensively. Lately I saw someone say that everything from 2007 on has the wiring harness for the folding mirrors. Don't know if this is really true...
Come On Guys. Surely there is someone who has done this on a 2007 or later Expedition which didn't originally have them.
I understand about the differences in wiring if the truck did not come with folding mirrors but with the proper switch in the door. I would think you would only need to add...
My Gibson has much more sound than stock but it's not going to be like a mustang or something. Just a nice low tone. As far as performance, I chose Gibson because they are supposed to be tuned for towing. I don't think you can go by manufacturers claims but in any case it certainly will not...
I put the single pipe Gibson on my 2011 XLT. I had the dual pipe on the same side on my 2000 XLT. I have not looked lately but when I got the single pipe setup, there was not a dual made for my 2011. After getting under the truck myself and installing the single, it became very apparent that...
