zets, is yours all-time A4WD, or do you have 2wd option? reason i ask is because my 01 EB is all-time A4wd (no 2wd option) and i cannot break traction even in dirt because the A4WD kicks in. Only time i can get it to break free is in the mud, and even then it takes some effort! gotta love A4WD!
well that sux! need to find a hacker that can unlock it while keeping your tune! hahah. i will buy one eventually, maybe for xmas. but cant afford to spend $300-ish for one right now. gotta save for a long drive back to Iowa!
well that is what i did, "T" out the back of the radio, dual coax. but i would like to just run one coax for both antennas, and not have to ground them! haha. but i do not want to spend the money on "ground-less" antennas, cuz they are expensive! after i give you my antennas, i probably wont buy...
quick question, i am thinking about running co-phased coax on the expy so i do not have to run two coax cables for my dual antenna setup. question is, if I get a co-phase coax, does that mean i do not have ground my antennas?
wow, lots of good information to digest...
fun, i agree that trading in really isnt that great of an option, as my rig is paid for! i would love an f250 but it will have to wait until expy becomes toy.
toms, sorry about the confusion. i was reading it wrong! haha
thermo, did not know...
problem is, i pretty much only drive to and from work, about 13 miles round trip! hahah. stop light, stop light, highway for about 1 mile, then stop light, stop light, stop light, stop sign, stop light....and so on! hahah.
tom, i am running 35" tires (34.7 or something like that). if i am 10% off, wouldnt that make me get 10% WORSE MPG, not better?
fun, i think i may do the same thing! right now i am going through roughly $240/mo in gas!!! wife wants me to trade expy in for new truck. problem is, new truck i...
that is what i do not understand, how does the MPG vary so much between our trucks?! i used to get almost 12 on the highway (last year) with the exact same setup i have now. granted, most of my driving was highway then. but i have not calibrated my speedo so since my MPH is off, wouldnt that in...
how the hell is it that i am only getting 9.5 MPG on my expy when people like walnuts are getting 13?! WTF? truck is getting new plugs this weekend, already has new fuel filter, only 1k on current oil/filter. yes, i do drive city/highway but i still shouldnt be in single digits!
i had my cb in there for a little bit, but took it out. it was a good location since i do not use it all the time (so it was not inconvenient to just open it up and turn it on) but decided to move it elsewhere. not that little spot just sits empty...maybe i will put some tissues in there too (so...
i too have the L heads and corners on mine, just black edition! i think it looks good. i agree, you should have been able to buy them as a set. i had L heads and clear corners on my white one that i bought as a set of ebay...
i feel the same way, when i am toting around my kids in my ex (which is not very often, that is why i have a 2010 crew cab silverado!) i want them to be safe! you dont buy these for the fuel mileage!
as for SUV...i smack people in the mouth. Mine is an OUV (offroad utility vehicle) or OHV...
i like it, clever idea. i should take those same mats from my basement and do the same thing! i have to redo my headliner anyhow. so you are mounting your edge on the overhead? where did you get your front seats? i like the hole in the headrest.
i leave mine cracked all the time as well, even while driving. i do open it up all the way in the summer time sometimes, but not on the highway. with the light up top, she gets pretty noisy! i will try to take a pic this weekend (with panda's camera since mine is in Iowa!) of my overhead console...
mine does not have rear entertainment. mine is just like my xlt but with better sound package (when the amp/sub worked), rear vents, and moonroof/sunroof plus a few other little amenities but i would def not say fully loaded! haha. not sure bud how it all got put together. my controls are on the...
i use my rear vents sometimes in the summer to keep the air flow. but i also use them in the winter sometimes to help vent some of the warm air out of the truck instead of having to turn the heat down...
i refer to mine as my truck, my rig, my expy, etc...but when i talk about her in front of my brother-in-law, its my SEXPY or my SEXPEDITION (sexy expy, get it! haha)
there are some out there with fiberglass fenders. look under "exterior" and there is a thread for fiberglass fenders. read up in there and that should give you some ideas...
i herculined my entire cargo area. i used the roll/brush on application. the kit cost around 80 bucks. biggest thing is PREP.....PREP, PREP, PREP! i cannot stress this enough. application is easy. do one coat, not too thick. let dry for 2 hrs, then apply another coat. i would probably do this...
