It used to be years ago that many new cars came with a small bottle of touch-up paint... not so these days. I found the paint color code on the door jam sticker, but wonder who would be the best source? Should I just get at a Ford dealer or are their some reliable aftermarket suppliers? I found...
My brothers 2017 EL has rear windows that can be slightly cracked open (about 2 inches). We were chatting yesterday via phone about the model years and asked whether I'd used these. Not finding the button where he described, and then looking at the windows, it became clear my 2018 does not...
I pulled the trigger and placed an order with Canvasback for the rear cargo liner in graphite color. Waiting for color samples from WT to arrive before ordering the front and 2nd row mats from them. I'll share some pics of both to help others with this most perplexing decision LOL.
I thought so. 2018's having that option are as rare as hens teeth. During my 3-4 month search, I only ran across several. Pretty much a standard configuration on Gen3's, but not so on the Gen4's. Hopefully some aftermarket options will be offered to swap that space out for something useful.
Ah yes, the coin holder. I wonder who was in charge of this design blunder? Isn't this the same space used for another option (i.e. proportional trailer brake)? I would have preferred a small open area that could actually be used for something useful (toothpicks, etc.). I doubt this not so...
I rode in a Yukon some months back that had 22" rims and it was very bumpy. Personally, excessively large rims on an SUV dosen't look good to me... kind of like putting aggressive off road treads on GT500 Super Snake. I think I'm probably giving up a little with the 20" that came with the...
The FloodESP warranty I just purchased has an $80 option to cover all interior and exterior lights over the 8/125000. As with any warranty item, I pay the first $100. With seemingly everything on these new vehicles being more expensive these days, I'm thinking one HID headlamp replacement or an...
Weight savings = >mpg (LOL). I suspect many makes/models will go the way of gas-capless. Bad news for the gas cap factories. Honestly, it is kind if convenient not having to remember replacing the cap. The frozen fuel access door sounds like a real issue and a PITA. Rather than just a spring...
Also a quick follow up on the FloodESP warranty. Very quick and simple on-line system. My approved warranty came back the next day - no inquiries or request to have the vehicle inspected. Perhaps that is because of where I purchased it or CarFax history... dunno? Has anyone else had to have...
Absolutely love the exterior and interior colors... well done Ford! Theses images make the medium stone interior look much lighter than it actually is. I had seen this color on a Lariat F150 and loved it.
+1... Mine is also the Medium Stone interior and the "black" carpet has a grey tone. I'd love to see a picture of WeatherTech mats in either the Black or Cocoa color against that interior color.
Nice! Are these the same as shown in the previous post? So you just placed the WT cargo mat on top of the Canvasback? Also, that looks like the cargo mat that goes up behind the 2nd row seats??
This look like a cool option to the WeatherTech for the rear cargo area. We do have a yellow lab and I have something similar in my wife's CRV. Do you have to attach/stick a velcro loop patch onto the interior panel surface? I like that it covers the carpet on the back of the 2nd row seats...
Thanks for the link.
How would you describe the "black" color? On their website, they appear to have a slight grey/black tone vs. ink black. My black carpet has a slight grey tone.
Here's one of the better images I found showing all (4) available colors.
This looks to be an Expedition or...
Cool. More great Ford logic... like the auto deploy side steps that only deploy on the side with the door open and can be switched to not deploy at all if desired! Options are good.
Hey all. I have have these in my Dodge truck and they are great. Fit like a glove (no floppy edges) and wear like armor. Anyone purchased these for their 2018? How well do they fit? Also, I have the Stone Grey exterior with the Medium Stone interior. Carpet is a black/grey color and I'm...
You can adjust (increase) the fuel low warning system from the default 50 miles remaining. I just tested the accuracy of my 2018 and it is spot on. It said I had 16 miles left and the 28.3 gallon tank took 28.0 gallons topped off.
It would seem the system would still be active with the FOB inside? But then, were that the case, how could a person inside the car ever lock their doors for security?
I often float the rivers in the area and we pay for "turnarounds" (car/trailer shuttle). I have a spare key for my Dodge...
Yup. I just purchased the 8 year/125000 mile Premium Care from FloodESP for $2400.00. Lombard was a little higher, and the dealer in CO where I bought the vehicle wanted north of $3000.00 for a 5 year/100k mile plan (through Ally Financial).
Thanks again @cmiles97 for the intel in my other...
So I was washing the car today and noticed that the water from the hose spray nozzle was activating the "intelligent Access" door sensors. It kept locking/unlocking and turning on the parking lamps. Maybe next time I'll leave the key FOB outside the 3 ft. sensor range. Anyone else experience...
Only had the rig for 2 days but had a chance to view some of the various display options on the drive back home. I like the digital speed display as a default too. I left it on that setting and it has stayed in that mode each time I've started the vehicle... a whopping 6-8 times LOL.
