I had to wait 8 months for mine. It was for the cam phasers to be shipped, not gaskets. I talked to Ford customer support the best I could get was a signed letter that they would cover the warranty at 100% if I were to go over 65K miles while waiting.
I also live in Colorado and tow a similar trailer. Grand Design Imagine 2400BH 28-foot box and in the low 7000s loaded. When I first started out I manually shifted when going down grades. For the last two years, I have just been putting it in Tow Haul mode and leaving it. I very rarely find...
If you are hauling a load that is heavy enough to create a concerning amount of sag you should look into a weight-distribution hitch instead. Load leveling will not put weight back onto the steer axle like a WDH will.
I am in line for the cam phaser repair for my 2019 Expedition. I am at 59K on the odometer and likely to hit 70K this summer. I have been on the waiting list since October and am still 18th in line at my local dealership. I am worried I am going to hit 70K and start losing warranty coverage...
Besides the content of the max tow package switching to LT tires with an E load rating really helped my towing experience. The stiffer sidewalls and high PSI helped reduce sway when pulling in heavy wind.
I have been pretty frustrated with the reliability of mine and started looking at the alternatives. I was left pretty underwhelmed with the competition. All of the GM engines in the Tahoe/Suburban have some pretty serious issues right now. The gas engines had a bad set of lifters/rods that...
Are you going into the mountains or staying in the metro area? In town the weather is pretty mild most of the time with the occasional snowstorm, you should be fine just avoid driving on the day of a storm or buy chains if snow is forecasted and you need to drive every day. If you are going...
Yes, mine had a drip there, turned out that the rear window washer line runs inside the cab along the passenger side. The tube had become disconnected at the firewall and emptied the contents of the washer fluid tank onto the passenger floor. There is a dip in the floor between the seats and...
I have a BlueOx Sway Pro on my travel trailer and really like it for but I am not sure it will fit criteria 4 for you. Not sure how you will be able to not drill and use a WDH. The bars are an inescapable aspect of weight distribution and they need a mounting point on the nose of the trailer.
I have used nothing but Mobile 1 full syn and have the issue. A slight change in viscosity is not going to keep the oil at the top of the engine for cold starts.
Has anyone had their cam phasers replaced and drove another 40-60k yet without it coming back? Mine just started doing this and I am debating if I want to sell it off after the fix or not. This is the 4th warranty issue I have had and I am pretty frustrated with Ford quality at this point. My...
I had my rear window smashed at a trailhead a few weeks ago and replaced yesterday. Just now I noticed that they did a pretty poor job centering the new window leaving me with a gap on the passenger side and contact with the black facia on the driver side. I also noticed these two holes on...
I tow a GrandDesign 2400BH in a 2019XLT and HD tow package. I have cat scaled it with all 4 of us in the Expy and all of our gear we are within all limits. I use a BlueOx sway pro, it self center via the weight distribution springs instead of friction. So it works pretty well keeping things...
My moonroof shattered and blew off while I was driving through Kansas on the way back to Colorado. It was replaced under warranty thankfully as it was a spontaneous explosion of the tempered glass. It took them 16 hours to fix and included dropping the headliner twice. I would never buy...
I drive over mountain passes in the early morning while they are still snow-covered most weekends November - April. I hit one a few weeks ago that still had over a foot of untouched snow on it and the Expy drove up in fine in 4A w/ normal mode :33: As what most people in the thread have already...
I am going to get a set of 18" wheels as there are a lot of LT options in 275/65R18 that come on the XLT and XL trim. They also have more sidewall to ease the unladen ride with lower pressures.
Is this the tire? https://us.coopertire.com/tires/discoverer-at3-xlt
It is on my list at TireRack, it is an AT tire but has a 60,000 mile warranty vs the others that are 50,000. Not sure what you mean by "D" tires.
I am looking at upgrading to LT tires to improve towing performance. There do not appear to be many options in the LT275/55R20 range other than a couple AT tires. Towing wore down my stock Hankook ATs pretty fast so I was hoping to get a more road-focused LT to also improve wear.
Curious if...
My expy had the rear washer line blow apart at the firewall. It dumped most of the washer fluid bottle into a the gutter that runs along the passenger interior under the plastic door sill trim bits. The carpet was pretty wet as it wicked the fluid.
