This morning while driving in the rain (steady rain, but not driving through deep puddles or anything) I got a fault on "blind spot detection with cross traffic"
It cleared itself eventually. (Very annoying because it leaves bright yellow lights on both side mirrors).
Is this cause for...
Although I share the concerns about more moving parts to break and maintenance I now LOVE my folding running boards.
They are at a much better height (half way between the ground and the floor).
They are also large and more comfortable to stand on when working on the roof (I use a roof pod...
I used a plastic trim removal tool (a small plastic pry bar) between the cover and the bumper between the 2 tabs WHILE pulling. It seems to help.
Recently I sprayed a little silicone spray on the tabs and that seems to have helped a lot.
I think I have this issue.
If I open the lift gate via the remote control all is well. If I open it by using the button on the handle it often just unlatches or opens very slightly.
Does this mean I have the problem?
So in summary your opinion seems to be:
I (as a lay person) brought my car to a business that is licensed and advertises safety inspections and the fact they they missed this obvious problem is my fault.
You seem very smart.
I have been dwelling on this and I think I know what I did to drain the battery. I like to open the windows during the day to keep it cool, and close them at night (in case it rains * to keep out bugs).
I am pretty sure I turned the vehicle "on" and left it on by mistake.
Going to another...
Does anyone know (or have a link) that describes the radiator shutters?
I am curious when the operate? At high speeds? At very cold temperatures? etc.
Never had a vehicle with these before and I am curious.
Thanks in advance.
I thought about that, but it happened the very first night after very little battery usage. Mostly just going in and out once and a while to grab stuff. I even left the running boards deployed to prevent them going up and down every single time.
I recently went car camping with my new expy (2023 SPP). It did something very strange.
I was in and out of the car repeatedly as I use it for storage while camping. I occasionally turn it on (not running, just on) to open or close the windows.
At some point is seemed to go in to a weird...
Can the 4th gen GPA accept coordinates instead of an address?
I am headed to a festival in farm country and there is no street address where I am headed. It would be handy to use the coordinates.
Thanks. That is way more effort than I want to do. I was sort of hoping there was a trick to just pop them off.
Part of me regrets not getting the 2nd row bench seat like I had in my last expy (big flat surface) but part of me saw the opportunity for more cubic feet right on the floor.
I...
I have a 2023 Limited with 2nd row captain chairs. Do the inboard arms on the 2nd row chairs come off easily?
I am packing for camping and I am hoping to get more storage between the folded down 2nd row chairs.
Thanks in advance.
That's the second cheap-out on the truck that makes me scratch my head. I think someone at ford is on crack. Probably one of the bean counters.
So I have a $90K truck and
* The roof rails don't move so I may have to re-drill my roof pod.
* There is no light under the hood. Really!?!?!?
I've got a 2023 Limited SPP / Loaded.
It looks like the roof rack rails don't slide like my 2010? They appear to be bolted on with large torx bolts. Am I missing some adjustability?
The owners manual says nothing.
You may be on to something.
I stopped at my mailbox, window down. The auto engine stop was active so the engine was stopped.
After getting the mail I hit the auto up and took my foot off the brake (thus starting the engine). I wonder if the voltage drop (from using the starter) tricked the...
I have a brand new 2023 SPP. Picked it up in April.
Yesterday the driver's window auto up feature stopped working. It will auto-down but not up.
Passenger side works fine.
What could case this? Is there a fix I can do like some sort of reset.
Or does this need to go to the dealer for...
Some folks prefer more physical buttons. I let them get in my head. When I first got my 2023 with the large screen I sort of loved t and sort of regretted it. Now that I have had it a couple of months I just love it.
I think some of the people who don't like it haven't really lived with it and...
