Totally agree with the above ideas. I went to autozone and schucks and bought hose by the foot and replaced everything that connects to the throttle body on my 1998. I also had to do the same on my 2004. Cost is pretty low doing it by the foot.
LOL, sorry about that. It is def still on for tomorrow (Sunday) and looks like we will hopefully end up with 12+ Expys there. Sorry for the confusion. Luckily we had great weather today and I was able to get mine detailed and cleaned up.
So it looks like the weather will be holding out for us on Wednesday. If you are able to make it out to meet up it would be great to have you there to swap stories and check out the Expy's. Hope to see you guys there!!
The only thing that I can think of is pulling all of them and setting up either fans on them or setting up some sort of a heater blowing on them to dry them out. Hopefully that will work.
Glad to hear the fence was the only casualty. I hope the rest of the week goes well for you and your sisters situation turns out ok. Hope to see you there.
Here is the link to the Facebook Ford Expedition Club. It would be great for everyone on here to join that group and have access to the event. Just like on here, it is a great place for Q&A. Once you are approved to join you will have access to the event under the events tab on the page. Thanks...
Awesome deal. I ended up switching the time to 2:00 pm as of right now and meeting at McMenamins in Mill Creek since they are family friendly and have plenty of parking for everyone. It also seems that location would be a better middle meeting place for everyone. Also the time will allow people...
So after talking with a few people on the facebook Ford Expedition Club page it sounds like we will be further south of me for sure and potentially looking at the Mill Creek area but I know there are other locations as well. Just a matter of getting it all figured out this week and meeting up on...
If you check on summit racing they have a timing chain set that comes with tensioners. That is the kit that I picked up. It has chains, guides and tensioners. The biggest thing with these is making sure that you get the timing set up just right or you will run into potential issues. Check...
I have always been able to use a shallow well 7mm with a swivel and a few 6 inch extensions in between the fuel rail to get that bolt off the cop and then use a magnet tool to pull it out. If that still doesnt give you enough room then I would suggest to pull the rail off the driver side of the...
Sounds like a good idea. Honestly in the end unless you go for a much newer one you will eventually run into the same issues. Taking a bit of time to do a minor rebuild on your current one will prob be the better bet in the long run. At least the motor will be good and last a lot longer with...
Honestly your looking at around 3K for the job if not more depending on what shop you take it to. That is based on the heads needing machine work and it needing to be torn down and put back together. Also you are probably looking at it being down for about 2 weeks at a shop if not more depending...
The 4.6 and 5.4 are pretty notorious for having the head gasket leak out of the back right corner (passenger side) of the motor and the leaking down. Also there is a drain hole in the firewall that will leak when the heater core gets backed up. I did the full PI head swap on my 1998 4.6 and...
My wife was recently running these on her 2004 Expy and they handle great and have plenty of grip but definitely tend to have a lot of road noise. If you dont mind them being a bit loud they are all around really great tires. We ended up switching over to the Yokohama Geolander A/T and they are...
I figured I would pull a date out of the air to see what everyone was thinking. For next month there are a few other dates between now and Thanksgiving. How about Sunday 15, Sat 21 or Sunday 22? Also there is next weekend but I figure that might be too soon. Sounds like we potentially could have...
Depending on everyone's schedule and interest, what does everyone think about possibly meeting up on Saturday November 14, 2015? If we have enough interest we can figure up a good location and time. Figure we could meet up and potentially end up at a local brewery to finish it all off.
I figured there were some people up here that were closer to the Everett/ Seattle area. I work here in Everett and live up in Arlington. Maybe we can look into doing a local meet and greet and also a larger meet and greet with PNW Expy's. It would be cool to have the local one coming up if...
You do not have to remove the intake for replacing the hose. Depending on the year there are 2 hoses that travel to the side of the intake along with a hose that goes behind the motor by the firewall or the backside of the intake and then another hose that connects to the front part of the...
I had a feeling that I may have posted this a bit early. We were driving the truck yesterday and I hooked up my scanner and guess what???? The P0304 code was there again. I have ordered the connector end for the COP and will have it installed on Tuesday. Hopefully that will finally fix the issue.
