What did you do to your expedition today?
Tried to mount a switch for the extra headlights on the dashboard. But it got complicated, the cables were to short and there were no space to wriggle the cables from the engine space.... and I had a terrible hangover ;-) Id just bundled the switch and cables together somewhere beside the...- Anders

What did you do to the expy today
Changed to summer tires, bought a new set of Hankook Ventus ST RH06275/55 20" 117V XL. They wil hopefully provide a smooth ride on the road. And some oil/filter change. Ready to go!!- Anders

Nope, its a cheap no-name light set that performed very good in a big round up test in Sweden (My wife accepted them due the chrome finish, but she's really suspicious when I buy cheap stuff :-)). Big reflector with both broad and fairly long beam. I will replace the 55 w bulb with a quality...- Anders

I had to mount the bull bar and lights this evening... in the rain :-) The temperature is gonna drop tomorrow... from +7 to -15 ºC. But now I'm ready for the darkness :party36:- Anders

Well, i drove out last night to my wife's relatives in the dark dark country side and got the chance to see what the Philips 9008/H13 X-treme Vision bulbs could do... I could notice the improvement on the completely dark roads (wet and no snow), but the light pattern is still rather horrible...- Anders

I dont now, could check but it would probably be very expensive! I have ordered the Philips 9008/H13 X-treme Vision bulbs, maybe some small improvement for the standard lights, in addition to the extra halogen lights on the bull bar. I will hopefully have this mounted in a week or two.- Anders

Envy you guys! Extremely depressing, its gonna be a green and dark christmas without snow in my area in Sweden. This is very rare, normally 1-2 feet snow and 7-10 celsius degrees below zero. The latitude is maybe 200 miles below Anchorage, and Alskanexpy knows how short the daylight hours is...- Anders

After some conversation with Mr Sterling, I have decided to order a bull bar and ad two big hibeam lamps. Good reading! Im aware of the need of relays and good cable area/connections when you mount extra high beam lights. But are you suggestion that i should rewire the standard headlight circuit? Its strange to look in to this BIG headlamp with its impressive reflectors, and know that it prouces...- Anders

I discovered last night when i took my first longer winter trip on the smaller roads thats the Epedition 2007 headlight performance is a joke!! My old SAAB had nearly double luminence. I was just lucky that a moose/deer didnt cross the road... And when I switched ordinary driving lights, well...- Anders

Finally some snow. The blizzard that hit southern parts of Sweden, seems to miss my town. But maybe one feet of snow could be expected to saturday morning. Then i finally will get a chance to test the 4wd :-) 03:45 AM and the sun has dropped...- Anders

I like snow... but not too much, just enough "lagom" as we say in sweden. 1998 it was a bit too much, this is footage from the middle part of sweden. A blizzard hit the area 60 miles north from were i live snow- Anders

The law demands snow tires (from first of december and last of mars) here in sweden, and it think thats a bless. To many amateurs ends up in the ditch. I use Hakkapeliitta with studs.- Anders

But we have a King! But seriously, a Ford Expedition is not the most economical vehicle in good old Sweden: Gas 100% more expensive. Insurance 1200 USD and traffic tax 875 USD/year. But me and the old lady just look at each other and smile with delight when we hit the road. ITS WORTH IT!- Anders

Plasti dip, sounds fun! Have to check out the availability of course. The chrome trims would ad some extra bling-bling... could match the cheapish look of the chrome-plastic Eddie Bauer 20" rims :-) But 80 bucks and extra 60 for shipping to Sweden!
