Hi All,
I got Ford Expedition First Gen Parts collecting dust and It's extra hard to Sell of them because i'm currently working in Qatar and people here don't drive many Fords out here and Toyota seem to dominate the roads. Plus can't really sell parts overseas because they not worth a whole...
Looking to find what about what gains can be had with a Superchips Programmer. Like Torque and HP. I cannot seem to find any information about the details of the gains.
Edit: So it ended up being a loose positive battery terminal, cleaned the connection with electrical cleaner and put a new bolt in the positive terminal a it was threaded and had very little clamping pressure.
Quite interesting I put the gear selector in to "D" and try starting up and I get two different readings on fuel gauge. Also when ever I fill up the fuel gauge still goes to no fuel marking and no fuel light goes on.
Well what happend is the level was showing near just little above empty, and it was not accurate because the engine was about to cut out from a lack of fuel in the tank. I filled it with a full tank of gas and then the no fuel light came on and the gauge was dead. I would like to try and...
Well this fourth problem since my gear box fault last week . Which also suspect is electronic related. So now My fuel gauge had given up, and the low fuel light is on. Where is the location of the fuel sensor? I've tried resetting the Ecu but no difference at all.
Prices sometimes can be beaten. But seems the only dealer I'm dealing with right now can not be bothered to process recall repairs. It's been two months....Perhaps I'll catch on fire and they notice? Love the Truck just don't like the way they treat customers here.
Update: I checked the fluid level before setting off and it was low. So I topped up the fluid hoping that would be the end of the slipping, and also just add it now also slips on 4 HI. In my part of the world I cannot seem to find Lucas transmission fix fluid or any alternative. Driving it below...
I like your idea and saw your thread on the manual conversion :Rock on:. But where I am it wouldn't be a great idea. It's too hard to source parts etc.
Just an update, so in Auto 4x4 mode I get slip. In 4 high mode I don't get slip.
I'm going to try Lucas Oil Transmisson fix to see what happens.
The fluid was changed in December and was that colour to start with. Also sometimes when I engage kick down I hear a brief sqeel either from the belt or the torque converter?
My 4x4 system is not working so I was playing around with the switch and left the switch in 4 low.
And drove without noticing it. Then yesterday when stopping and moving the gear would slip as if it was in neutral.
I pulled over and the transmission dip stick had black particals on it. But...
Nearly killed my transmission by not noticing my 4x4 was engaged in 4 Low. The transmission was slipping but now it's okay. Lesson learned I got lucky.
