    No power to fuel pump

It wasn't the fuel pump driver module, it wasn't a PATS issue, it was a wire not being inserted all the way into the fuel pump driver module connector. See post #3...

    No power to fuel pump

Fuses were continuity tested in the panel with a multimeter. The issue ended up being one of the wires in the plug for the FPDM got pushed out. Once I found that the vehicle starts and runs fine again.

    No power to fuel pump

Trying to get the wife's 06 going again, last week we drove it into town to get lunch, and when we came back out it wouldn't start. Had my dad tow me home, knowing the fuel pump driver module (FPDM) can be an issue I started with that. No luck. Tried a new pump, no luck there either. (Pump would...

2006 Expedition, water on floor in 2nd row

Care to share that info with me? Good to know, I will look into that. What kind of a stupid response is this? It's rained here nearly every day for the past 2 months wise guy.

    Problems with 4wd

Is there a gasket needed between the shift motor and the t-case? Also, the shift motor I bought has slightly different wiring than the one in the vehicle, in the vehicle there is an extra wire that actually goes into the tail shaft of the t-case. How does that wire unplug from the tail shaft...

2006 Expedition, water on floor in 2nd row

Yes, it does have a sunroof. I'm guessing I get to remove and re-seal the darn thing?

2006 Expedition, water on floor in 2nd row

Can't find much on this issue- the wife's 2006 Expedition is leaking water somewhere but I'm not sure where. The water is most prevalent in the 2nd row on the driver's side, the floor where you'd step in is very wet and if you flip up the seat to access the 3rd row there is standing water in...

    No instrument cluster illumination

All 11 bulbs in the twist lock plugs were replaced with LED's. Turn signal indicators, high beam indicator, and cruise control indicator are not working. Could someone do me a favor and take a picture of their cluster in test mode with all the indicators lit up so I can see what else might not...

    No instrument cluster illumination

All the bulbs in the twist-lock plugs have been replaced with LED's already. I may try the incandescent bulbs in the turn signal spots to see if they come back. Not one thing I've done to this car has been easy, it's really starting to wear me out!

    No instrument cluster illumination

New issue if anyone is still following... turn signals work on the outside just fine but no indicator lights in the dash using either the turn signals or the hazards. Any suggestions on this one?

    No instrument cluster illumination

Final update... on a whim I bought 20 LED bulbs off Ebay for $7.79 shipped on Saturday and they arrived today, pulled the dash apart AGAIN, replaced all the bulbs and voila... everything works now. Now if I could just get the CD changer in this car to work after multiple attempts to fix it...

    No instrument cluster illumination

Another update, found my service manual DVD and started digging deeper. Per the manual one of the tests is to measure the voltage between the instrument cluster C220a-6, circuit 19 (LB/RD), harness side and ground. I did that and got nothing, the diagnostic is "repair circuit." So... where to...

    No instrument cluster illumination

Somehow lucked out and the local Napa just happened to have 11 #74 bulbs on hand, I will report back if it worked or not. Edit- that was a fail. The supposedly #74 bulbs they had are as big as the old bulb and socket combined. Back to the drawing board...

    No instrument cluster illumination

Just trying to make sure I find EXACTLY which bulb I need. I live in a small town and its a one hour drive each way to the big city with decent parts selection. I'm not at all confident new bulbs will fix my problem but finding another cluster is going to be difficult and expensive.

I wish I could tell you, still trying to sort this mess out. I did call Ford, they only want $42 per bulb. Even the parts guy laughed. On edit, looks like it's a #74 Sylvania bulb- http://www.expeditionforum.com/f41/instrument-cluster-bulb-15801/

stamp11127, any idea if the AutoEnginuity scan tool will run the tests described in the diagnostics stuff you emailed me?

    No instrument cluster illumination

Got the diagrams, thank you. Gone are the days of simplicity where you had a variable resistor that would increase/decrease output to the bulbs to control brightness, now we have a fancy PWM controller that does a bunch of smoke and mirrors nonsense to accomplish the same thing but takes 40...

    No instrument cluster illumination

Sorry for leaving you guys hanging on this, I've been distracted with the holiday and a million other things going on. To answer some of the questions, all fuses related to the instrument cluster are fine. As far as I can tell all the indicator lights in the instrument cluster work fine, dimmer...

    No instrument cluster illumination

I did check the pins, all is well there. I will pull and test fuse 15 for kicks as well. I'm hoping that 1955moose is on the right track about certain bulbs needing to be good for the rest to work, I pulled 7 bulbs out and have little faith that they all went back into the spots they came from.

    No instrument cluster illumination

There are only 2 plugs on the back of the cluster and there's no way you can get them in the wrong spot. I did check the fuse that states it's for instrument cluster illumination, among other things which I forget, and the fuse checks OK plus all the other items on that circuit function. I'm...

Yes I did, everything else seems to dim like normal but still nothing in the cluster.

    No instrument cluster illumination

I pulled the cluster out of the wife's 06 Limited to replace some burned out bulbs in the RPM gauge side of the cluster, I couldn't find the replacement bulbs I needed locally so I put the old bulbs back in and reassembled the car so she could drive it. Now it has no illumination at all, and I...

    Problems at the gas pump..

Bumping this back up as I'm tired of fighting this issue on my wife's expedition. Has anyone tried anything other than ExpeditionAndy's solution? I'm wondering a larger vent valve or re-routing the darn thing might help.

    Transmission failure- some thoughts

Shortly after purchasing our Expedition in April I did a transmission fluid change and replaced the filter with an aftermarket filter. On the 14th of this month on a road trip we lost 1st and 2nd gear, and while trying to repair the transmission based on codes stored I dropped the pan and was...

6 disc in dash issues, need help

Take a look at the photo and the video I posted. For both I did exactly what was shown but neither "fix" actually worked. Maybe there is something I'm missing with the changer unit, I'll have to pull it out again and have another look at all the gears. I may end up disassembling the entire...
