once had someone driving down a narrow road who started coming right at me (on my motorcycle).
I had to swerve out of the way and a giant rock the HOA keeps RIGHT NEXT to the road hit my brake lever.
(I think the big rock is to keep people from running over the flower bed)
Anyways, this dummy...
I have been having a "snapping" or "slapping" type noise that seems to come from the rear end when I get to 30MPH and seems to go away by 40MPH.
It isn't constant, it may only happen when driving straight or at a slight turn etc.
Maybe I just can't hear it over the road noise at higher speeds...
I rode some new trails today, a couple were black diamond.
It's good that I was decending on the black diamond trails because I'm not confident I could do the ascent.
I scraped my running boards a couple of times but it did well besides that.
A couple of people seemed surprised to see me, but...
I had my tires installed and my wheels aligned today, I didn't think to ask how much they were going to charge me so I got gouged like a mother-fucker. $150 to mount and balance 4 tires, swap my old spare, and a front end alignment.
The whole job took less than an hour.
I made a compilation video mostly featuring The expedition on trails.
I also finished installing my mevotech front suspension and steering kit I bought, just waiting for the tires I ordered so I can have them installed and aligned.
After riding a trail the other day I stopped by a gas station to wipe down the windows and lights with a squeegee.
I hardly bumped the turn signal lens and it just fell off.
How is it supposed to stay on? There are no clips or screws. I don't want it to fall off on the trail.

My child locks will sometimes be on, even though I leave them off.
I don't know if my butt turns them on while I'm reaching in the door, (phrasing) or if they somehow do it themselves...
Mine is a 99 though
My 69 gladiator was the best truck I ever owned and the most beautiful I had ever seen.
besides the oil coming out from EVERY possible point, I had to redirect the exhaust from the side towards the ground because I was spraying oil on people's cars, hahahaha
These new vehicles look like...
I wish there was a solution for those of us who want a newer truck without ALOT of technology.
Disc brakes and FI are a great feature and I guess I don't mind ABS even though it adds parts to the engine bay.
Cruse control is my favorite luxury.
Power seats and windows are less reliable than...
I replaced the valve cover gasket on the passenger side.
I removed many pounds of the A/C system since I don't use it anyways, same with the window washing resivour.
I had to take the battery out to make room for tools and hands so I cleaned up all the contact points with sandpaper and added a...
I've replaced a single boot before, if the other one isn't leaking just leave it alone.
You have to take the CV axle apart and clean and regrease it if you're going to reuse it.
Once it's apart and cleaned any excessive wear will be apparent.
People are saying you need a special tool to put...
if you are having an emergency and you need a temporary fix for a loose battery terminal on post that wont tighten enough you can just add a layer or two of aluminum foil over the battery post and tap the terminal on tightly over it.
I checked my front suspension and steering, all my boots are ripped and the bushings are looking worn. I've been looking at a mevotech set on rockauto for $300.
seems to be the best quality for the money I can find...

As you can see I'm new to this forum and am unsure of how to link a picture...
Added the remainder of the screen to the rear hatch window. Just peeled off the gasket...
I got a roll of screen and some very thin wood material (called screen trim or something).
Just stuffed the sticks in the window track over the screen.
It's pictured in my avatar pic, but it's impossible to see due to picture quality.
My hatch window wouldn't open.
Pulled the plastic off and found the cable had fallen out of the actuator at the handle.
I wanted to be able to open the window from the inside anyways, so I drilled a hole in the plastic and fed the cable through.
Then I used wire to attach a large washer to...
Bottle jacks are compact and most have threaded extensions.
I have a four ton autozone branded one.
$30
It raises to 14.5 " and weighs less than 8lbs
And the footprint is small, you can boost the jack with 2x6s if you ever needed to.
