This is on a 2019 model with now 23k miles. In drive and at a complete stop I hear a constant beating noise that is very quiet. When I put it in park I don’t hear it.
I don’t remember hearing this before. Is this a cause for concern?
I’ve used nothing but 87 for Highway and local. I have felt hesitation including when going in reverse and overall the drive felt weak to mediocre.
For my next road trip when I have a decent load weight I’ll try 89+.
The price difference can be up to 50 cents a gallon right? So that’s like...
Is anyone Here for or against Walmart batteries? The Costcos near me don’t have in stock. This battery from Walmart actually comes with a 4 year warranty according to the description.
Everstart Platinum AGM battery (Group Size H7)
Price is about the same.
I noticed today ASS isn’t on when I start the car but if I push the button it does come on. I didn’t test it to see if it actually works though.
I plan to keep the car for no more than 2 more years. I guess I will need to replace the battery before then, and one change will be enough.
I almost always turn off the auto stop. Maybe that explains how it lasted over 3 1/2 tests. I do live in the south where it gets hot and humid.
And I almost never use navigation. CarPlay only on road trips. I recently installed a dashcam.
Can people chime in. I’ve got a late 2019 model manufactured around September 2019. 21k miles on it. Usually drive for short distances.
How long did your original battery last?
Recently:
The touch sensors to lock and unlock on the handles other than the driver door isn’t working.
Today...
Is the wear of these shock absorbers driven by miles only and not time? As in after replacing them if I just drive 5k miles over the next 5 years, they probably will not leak?
Which tier warranty will cover the common shock absorber problem? Since it sounds like the oem is bound to fail every 10-20k miles, could it make sense to purchase the warranty to just cover this repair?
Is the reliability really that bad? So if I’m the type not to want any significant repairs, should I plan to get a new Expedition (or other) by the time the power train runs out?
Took it to the dealer. Although I think only one was leaking they replaced all four. Warranty runs out in 9 months. Hoping won’t have to replace them for a couple of years at least.
Those that got aftermarket installed around how much did you pay.
Aye caramba. Maybe I should consider myself lucky to have a minor leak so far. But Would I have to constantly keep an eye out on the other 3? I’m at 13k miles, 26 months in.
Ok googled the part number and the cylinder shaped thing is the shock absorber. If this is what’s leaking would it be covered under the 36/36k warranty?
I usually park in the garage. Today I left it in concrete driveway during the day to find wet spots not dry up. I managed to take this picture without the car jacked up. It’s from under the hood on the passenger side near the tire. The big cloth plate you need to remove to get to drain plug I...
Just sharing my experience getting and dealing with a tire blowout while out of town over the holidays.
Was driving from one friend's house to another friend's house - just a 30 minute drive. There was a lot of construction going on and i heard a noise and almost immediately i noticed the tire...
2019 xlt rwd has around 14k miles on it. I’ve noticed a lot of exhaust from the mufflers compared to other cars, even when comparing to other v6 engines. It’s not black, there’s no check engine light. Mpg has not changed either. Just visibly seems like a lot of smoke. The weather is cold...
Has anyone else experienced this - heat or ac is on with air circulation off while driving. And then it'll turn air circulation on itself and it feels like the power/speed setting was increased a notch or two. This happens pretty much on every road trip.
Driving up from GA through SC and NC and maybe TN into MD. Hopefully there will be no snow at all but willing to prepare in practical way so I don’t get stuck or crash
Can someone advise me on how to prepare for potentially snowy roads on a road trip? I've got a 2018 RWD. Will be two adults and two smallish children. Will having a certain # of lbs of weight (in the form of suitcases, other junk) in the back help? Should I bring along a couple of 50 lb bags...
Definitely not a dead animal. The smell of coming from under the hood, driver side. Not the muffler.
I have been using nothing but regular gas. Could this be the reason?
14 months into ownership and some 6,500 miles the smell is still there. The first visit to the dealer they said it's the break-in period. The second time they said they didn't smell anything. I don't think they really tried to see if there was a smell. Not a very good dealership it was.
