Tire recommendations for 22" w/ CCD?

I have about 53k miles on our 2018 Platinum OE Hankook tires and will be looking to replace them soon-ish. I haven't been impressed with their performance, particularly in wet or slick conditions. In the past I've been pleased with Michelins (on other vehicles), so I'm primarily leaning towards...

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

Finished the oil change today. Made a pretty big mess on my garage floor, but went alright otherwise. I got the Valvomax plug installed, so should go much smoother in the future. Thanks for all the advice!

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

I have Futmoto valves in our other two vehicles and agree they great to have. I ordered a Valvomax for the Expy to try something different (and because they currently have a code for 20% off).

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

I got under the Expy to confirm that I have a metal oil pan before buying a Valvomax drain plug. Could someone please confirm that this is indeed the oil drain plug? Just want to he certain before I buy anything.

Would love some folks thoughts on this, regarding oil changes on this engine.

FYI, I snagged this Mobil 1 Advanced from Costco and it appears to meet the B1 spec.

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

Good to know. I just mainly went with this because it's available at my Costco and was $10 off for 6 qts.

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken, but it looks like this meets the B1 spec, no?

Preparing for doing first oil change myself

I'm planning on changing the oil in the Expy myself for the first time (done it on other vehicles plenty of times before). I'm planning on grabbing some Mobil 1 Advanced and a Motorcraft filter, as well as a Fumoto valve (or similar). I'm just curious if this vehicle has any quarks I should know...

Just curious- why no interior release on fuel filler door?

Where is this funnel? I bought my 2018 used and haven't noticed one.

    Moab Advice

Check out Onion Creek. We drove that two summers ago in our 18 Platinum with the 22" wheels without issues. Gorgeous scenery and you cross the creek (which is only like 2-3" deep) like 20 - 30 times (fun to count them as you go with the kids).

Swollen Lug Nuts - Recommended Replacement?

My 2018 Plati is at the dealership for some service and warranty work, the called me stating that the lug nuts are swollen and that I'd likely have trouble or be unable to remove them roadside in the event of a flat. I only have about 46,000 miles on it and I really don't think there's been any...

Any families gone from Supercrew pick up to Expedition?

Overall I think the Expedition will be a great fit for your needs. We love ours (2018 Plati w/ HD Tow). I also have a fairly highly modified Rubicon. I haven't tried towing it yet, but have done a little research. Although the Expedition should he able to tow the weight no problem, it looks like...

Front Brake Pad Replacement - Gen4

I have a Jeep Wrangler as well as the Expy, they are also known to go through rear pads much more quickly than the fronts for some reason. Maybe they bias towards the rear on taller SUVs to help combat nose dive under heavy breaking? Or maybe in the case of the Expy it could be due to...

2019 Platinum tow setup with enclosed car hauler

Nice setup! Any idea what your tongue weight is? I've been starting to think about a tow setup for my Jeep. Would probably be a similar weight, I'm worried that I'd be at pretty much max payload before adding any gear/passengers in the Expy.

    Rear Entertainment System

Great information, thanks for sharing! Do you happen to know the specific parts used to make this happen? We have a 2018 Plati and have the same frustrations with the RES. Our kids are little, so I just have about 50 movies on an SD card and the systems just loops through those and they're...

Derp. Thanks! Based on the image I thought that button was just for the 120V inverter outlet.

    Interior lighting

My 2018 Plati is very dark inside at night when the doors are open. The dash lights and ambiant colored lights in the doors illuminate as expected when the doors are opened, but the ceiling dome lights don't come on. They work fine when turned on individually or when the button near the sunroof...

Fault alerts after unplugging interior fuse box

I left the positive terminal disconnected for about 45 minutes, then hooked back up and went for a drive around the block. That seems to have cleared things up.

Fault alerts after unplugging interior fuse box

How long does the battery need to be disconnected for it to reset?

Fault alerts after unplugging interior fuse box

I needed to unplug the main connector on the bottom of the interior fuse box while hardwiring a dash cam and radar detector (fuse 37 is right next to that big connector and I couldn't grip it even with the tool). I reconnected it and and heard an audible click when it snapped back into place...

Airing down tires on 22" wheels for off-roading

Good point. I'm definitely planning on keeping it to easy trails. I'm just coming from the Jeep world where airing down is pretty much a given when going off road.

Airing down tires on 22" wheels for off-roading

We're taking a family trip to Utah in a few weeks and I'm hoping to hit up a couple mild trails with the Expy. I also have a Jeep that I've done a bit of off-roading in as well and will typically air down to around 12-14 psi. Obviously the Expy with it's 22s shouldn't be aired down nearly as...

Can I safely tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 2018 Expy Platinum (non-Max)?

Alright, so that would work out to around 700-1000 lbs of tongue weight, which would leave me with around 450-750 lbs of remaining payload for the family and luggage. So it's probably just barely doable for now. Probably not so much once the kids get a bit bigger. Thanks!

How much weight would I want on the tongue?

Can I safely tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 2018 Expy Platinum (non-Max)?

I have a 2018 Plati with HD tow package (non-MAX). I'm wondering if/how I could tow my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I haven't weighed my Jeep, but let's say it's 5000 lbs (including my modifications and some gear). I'm guessing an appropriate trailer would be around 2000 lbs. So even if we say...
