Ok expy nuts I need some answers. I just want to lift my 01 about 2" maybe 3". I still use for family wagon. When I wear out these factory tires I want to put a little more tire on it. Just to look good but not completely change the whole under carriage. Just enough not too much. Low cost no fancy mods. Look good. It is a 01 with A4WD that works great. No air ride. Any suggestions. All the web sites i have seen do not like the 4AWD. Help!

You can get a 2" lift for under $100, unless your alignment is bad... You can get a set of 2" rear coil spacers of ebay for around 70, and crank your torsion bars by tightening the bolt on the crossmember at the back of your torsion bars which will give you roughly 2 inches of lift. Sometimes when you crank the T-bars, it can throw your alignment off, but you can just drive it and determine if you need a new alignment or not. Others will chime in that have done this and give you their 2 cents on what brand of spacers to get...

I have 265/75/16 on mine with stock suspension. The tt and spacers will let you comfortably fit 285s, and tt, spacers and a body lift will fit roughly 35s. I would do the tt and spacers for sure and some 285s. Im not sure what type of wheeling you are planning on doing, but with my setup, I do alot in the mountains (rocks, climbing, gravel, snow, and occasional mud). My tires have never let me down, and the only time I have ever gotten stuck was when I fell through deep snow drifts and lost clearance and caught up on the frame, mostly gas tank. So, IMO I would say unless you are going to run through some crazy stuff, or really want 35s, I wouod save the money on the body lift and put that towards some good tires like bfg or nittos. Cuz these tanks can surprise you with how much they can do even when stock.

Nevermind i found it for you, dont pay attention to the air bag stuff but this will show you how to do everything on the rear end... 2" spacers are A LOT easier to put in than 3" lol
