03 5.4 Exp Hub hose cut

Among the few head scratchers I found while working on my truck, I found that the hub hose was in two pieces. I actually tried trouble shooting this a few months ago because it intermittently engages. Do I need to order the whole hole hose kit or is it possible to get that double vacuum line singly?

Is the hose still in good enough shape to just splice it back together with some plastic inserts ?

You can get some thick silicon hoses and just tape them together like we do on electrical harnesses. Make your own assembly.
