had the same issue. With my truck it was a corroded front impact sensor. The module failed to communicate with the sensor and signaled it by flashing the airbag bulb when turning the ignition key.
The bulb stayed on after that.

Ah, mines the same. That’ll give me something to look at.

Check the fuse for the Data Link Connector Its the same fuse for the cigar lighter

It just came on about a month ago. Have had truck for 6 years The light comes on with turn of key and stays continuous. No flashing at all. I have tried two scanners one of them being the solus edge. I am thinking the rcm is bad. Location ?? And any suggestions on where to look for replacement? Thanks again for all the replies

As I stated get the service manual on DVD check the seller "morpheousking" on e-bay
cost about $15.00

The manual will give you all the information I posted above plus the troubleshooting procedures.

Troubleshoot the problem Don't guess and throw parts at it

My 2003 XLT had airbag light on in 2008. My records show that they replaced the sensor assembly 6L1Z*14B004*AA and also wire assembly 3U2Z*14S411* RVA. $109.35 parts and $187.00 labor

I seem to recall that I was told the sensor was corroded
