'03 Expy Key Chime Problem

Hello-

'03 Expy E.B. all the sudden today started acting up. When I shut it off, take the key out of the ignition, it keeps beeping and the radio stays on. It appears the truck thinks the key is still in the ignition. Is this a "spray WD-40 in the locks" problem, or something different? And yes, I did several searches, but could not find anything that matched the symptoms I was having. Thanks!

can't hurt spraying with WD-40.... try it... also look inside key ignition for excessive dirt might be part of the problem.... just my .02

the wd 40 should fix it ,,, to me it sounds as if the key ways in the ignition are sticking, had this happen in a company van one time

Well, did Silicone spray all around, let it sit overnight. Don't know if it had anything to do with it, but almost as mysteriously as the gremlins appeared, they have vanished......
