Good morning expedition brothers
Looking for some advise.

Yesterday againts all my instics I took my baby in to a carwash/detail place.
I usually do it my self but was feeling kinda lazy........first time i take her in.........EVER!
All was well when i got there, but when i was going to leave the screen on my stereo didnt work.......and it looked like somebody had intentionally pushed it in till it broke..... after almost getting in a fist fight argueing with the manager there.........I decided to leave, now with a non working navi screen :(

my question would be should i try to find a replacement stock unit?
or should i take on the challenge on getting a more feature packed aftermarket unit?
If i get an aftermarket unit where can i find a harness to keep my steering wheel controls functionality?
Is it possible to make my 6 cd changer work also?
and what about the DVD system? :(

Thanks in advance for your help

yea it was broken there I'll add a pic tommorow so you can see. They pushed the screen in and its non responsive now. Talked to the highest guy I could get ahold of. He basicly said he wasnt going to do anything. Only other thing I could do would have been to file a police report but i didnt want to go throught the hassle.

I would absolutely not take no for an answer... I have a buddy who owns a car wash and these types of things happen all the time... sucks, but it happens. they have insurance to cover mishaps while cars are there, trust me. If they continue to deny it, call the police... hassle or not, why should you pay for it?

I admire your self control....if that happened to me, I would go bananas!
But If you're really not looking for anything more than what you had, I'd just replace it with a stock unit to avoid the hassle of a new system.

so no word on from the car wash people on if they will replace it or not? i would seriously take them to court. might cost some pesos, but then just sue them for all court fees too. thatll teach them not to mess with people.

depends on if you were happy or not with the factory layout for the HU...if you were go ahead and get OEM replacement...if you werent...go aftermarket...as far as the changer...you may run into capatibility probs since youre trying to match OEM changer with aftermarket HU...its normally the other way around...for the steering wheel controls...theres the PAC steering wheel wiring kit that will allow you to do that...
