I have a 05 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4 L AWD it was fine when I drive it home and parked it that night came out in the morning to it having a hard time to start but it started then the failsafe mode came on the truck won’t reverse or give the gas. I was told it was the throttle body so I replaced it today still the failsafe mode is on the truck will not give the gas will back up somewhat now I’m just at a loss on what it can be

Dont see why a throttle body issue would keep you from shifting into reverse

welcome to the forum.

need more information. ECU detected a fault of some kind.

You have a scanner or access to AutoZone to get it scanned and what codes (if any) are stored?

Mileage?
Recent maintenance?
Any quirky operation or incident that recently happened?

Sure others will chime in.

Probably should have had it properly diagnosed/scanned before replacing the e-throttle body. I have heard of some Lincolns going into failsafe due to throttle body malfunctions, but you could still engage drive gears and drive with reduced power and it would ALWAYS throw a code. Please update us when issue is corrected.
