Hey a question for you guys. When shifting into reverse the truck kinda shudders. All forward gears are ok.

This is occasional in that it has only happened twice. Do you guys have any ideas?

Could be the reverse pump acting up. You'll need to check trans pressures. Is their any engine misfires/ stumbles, no loss of power?

Does it struggle to back up? Or is it just the shudder when this happens?

You might try having the fluid/ filter changed a little ahead of schedule, along with the aforementioned pressure tests. The 6r75 is usually pretty dependable, but not without their issues. We've had shudder issues with other members, that had success with fluid/filter changes. I'd also run a diagnostic, to be sure theirs nothing electrical/ mechanical, that needs attention.

Ok today I got a stumble followed by a misfire. What could that be?

That can be anything from a bad coil, sparkplug, clogged injector, exaust leak on that cylinder. Usual course is change spark plug for that cylinder, move coil to adjacent cylinder, see if code moves to that cylinder, if it does, replace that coil. if neither thing makes a difference, test plug going to that cylinders injector for power/pulse, if good replace that injector. Beyond that it gets fun, misfires are either easy, or a real SOB to narrow down. Try the first ones, with your ignition, and go from there. That misfire can be part of the shuddering your experiencing. An Automatic transmission is reliant on a smooth proper running engine to perform properly. We need to get your misfire fixed before you have anything else done to the trans itself.
