07+ led tail lights on a 03-06 model

Has anybody have succesfully installed a set of 07+ led tail lights on a 03-06 expedition? Thanks

If they are anything like the OEM ones, it should bolt right now. Really, the only difference between the 2nd and 3rd gen tail lights is the reverse light, which is a 921 for 3rd gen and 3157 for 2nd gen.

If they bolt right on its great! Cz I had read that you had to modify something in the housing to make them fit,...

That's one way of doing it, I suppose. As I said before, the new housings take the 921 bulb (which is smaller), while the 2nd gen use the larger 3157 bulb.

What some people were doing was drilling out the new housings to fit the 3157 bulb. I just took a 194/921 bulb socket, and tapped it off the reverse wiring. Just tape up the 3157 socket, and put it aside. That way, you don't have to modify the housing

yes...it has been done...they will bolt right on but you will have to mod the reverse socket hole because it is smaller than the 03-06 tails...

IPCW (In Pro Car Wear) LED tails...i got mine from ebay from CarID...they were cheaper than buying from their site...think i paid around $260...anywhere else it'll be $300+...but theyre every where...autoanything.com, styling.com, ebay, ect...
