I’m getting a few weird electric gremlins and when I am stopped and engine turns off my plugged in accessories would turn off sometimes too and it’ll turn back on when the engine fires back up.

On a side note, my USB is glitchy and not always connecting or charging my iPhone, I use an OEM Apple lightening and tried others too.

Any ideas or thoughts?

I wonder if it's a low power issue. I know @Artie and I have both experienced some electrical weirdness when our battery gets low (touch to lock/unlock not working, third-row power-fold being finicky, etc). Mine took a trip to the dealer to "reset" the ASS and now works great.

If you do a lot of shorter trips (as I do) the battery might not be getting the opportunity to charge enough. Then the vehicle prioritizes systems and starts dropping them if there is not enough juice.

If you have a battery tester you might hook it up and see how your battery is doing.

@Deadman will tell us this is the result of all our electronic gizmos and the ASS generally. And he is probably right. But I like all my gizmos.

As @aggiegrad05 just mentioned, low voltage can cause a myriad of bizarre behaviors. If you are having any issues with your rear hatch button I would take it in. My hatch button was causing a slight draw and since I don’t drive every day it was enough to pull the vehicle voltage low enough to illicit low grade demon possession type mannerisms.

Thanks for the reply, I drive long distances and not a lot of short trips. I may take it in.

Mine typically only runs to my work and back and thats literally a mile and a half, so my battery should be dead too.....I've got a lot of the extra BS turned off, so maybe thats keeping my battery alive longer... I guess I'll find out in time! :)

Since I had the tailgate switch replaced I’ve had zero issues. It’s been driven once in 4 days.

Might be a good idea to stretch it's legs at least once a week and take the scenic route and do a couple wot runs (when it's up to operation temp). Don't know if it's as true on modern engines but older engines used to like the cob webs blown out every once in a while.

It gets pushed regularly. Some days I have to take or pick up my son from school and that adds a few miles and he loves the ponies, so we have to let it rip fairly often.. :)
