1997 ac compressor not turning on

I have a 1997 expedition and the ac blows cold, I noticed the ac compressor isn't turning on.. I appreciate any help where do I start?? Thank you in advance

First step is fill it with with AC refrigerant. That's the most common problem people notice after winter

The a/c will not blow cold if the compressor isn't running. If yours is blowing cold then it is running.
